Vanite Couture, the parent company of Vanite Stores, broke into the fashion market in 2008. The three owners, driven by passion and creativity, were encouraged by their rapid retail success (in San Jose, California's Santana Row and Oakridge Mall, and then the beachfront suburb of Capitola in the Santa Cruz location) and courageously launched their own label "Vanite Couture" in 2010.
The founders were later captivated by Benicia, California when they happened upon it's tree lined downtown street-illuminated by small white lights year round. It had antique stores, fashion boutiques, and family-owned restaurants. It felt like home- and a perfect location for Vanite's headquarters.
While the Vanite Stores offer the lines of many designers, they feature the Vanite Couture Collection that blends the chic and the cutting edge with classic couture. Complex creative design meets simplicity of style with a number of pieces constructed with a unique, pleated fabric-among other fantastic fabrics and designs. Created for the "every woman," in every setting, Vanite's distinctive style has caused a sensation. From tops, dresses, pants, skirts, jackets, cardigans, purses and more, there is always a new a beautiful piece for any woman-no matter her size, shape, or stage in life.
