I had a great experience here! Normally I feel a bit pushed around and pressured into buying but not here! Jonathan helped me pick a great shoe that seems like it will fit my needs well. He was knowledgeable without being pushy. Overall it seemed like a great little shop. I'll definitely return to for my next pair!
Took my 81 year old mother to VS looking for a shoe with stability and support. Her condition: flat footed, pain from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and a diabetic. The woman that helped us was very knowledgeable, patient and considerate. Mother's gait was immediately improved just walking around the shop and she didn't feel any foot pain. Purchased Brooks Beast. Very pleasant experience. Hoping for continued relief and support from these new shoes.
I went there about 3 weeks ago. I was just looking at the shoes on the wall. Jonathan asked if he can help me. He had me take my shoes off and walk. He looked at my feet as I did so. I told him I was having pain in my knee. I picked a pair of shoes that felt like I was walking in clouds. I loved them. He told me, for what I needed, those won’t work. He gave me 2 pair to try. I picked one. They felt comfortable, but didn’t feel like I was walking on clouds. I trusted him. 3 weeks later, my knee still hurts a little, but not half as much as it was 3 weeks ago. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good shoe. He is young, but he definitely knows his stuff. I will definitely be returning.
Extremely rude customer service. I had gotten a pair of shoes for Christmas and they didn’t fit so I went to exchange and I was fitted into a huge size I really didn’t want but felt forced to buy….. so I made my husband go back the next day and just get a size smaller bc I felt like a clown and they were terribly rude….. all that’s allowed is store credit and exchange so it shouldn’t matter how many times I need to exchange. I’m spending 200 on a pair of shoes im going to get the size I want. They give you no chance to pick how you like your fit they just tell you you need this size. Sooo rude to me the day I went in I made my husband go in for me the next day.
We had the best shoe buying experience ever. The employees really want you to find the right type of shoe, and not just sell you something.

Very organized. I knew what style I wanted and she got me 2 pairs to try on and choose from. In and out in about 15-20 minutes and they were busy. I will be returning, the prices are comparable to online and you get a better fit.
Unlike the big box stores, the fine folks at V S Mandeville know about their shoes and people's feet. They will get you the shoe you need for your run! They also have a military discount and you get a free t-shirt with your purchase! Note, they are moving from their present location to a new building across from Old Rail Beewing Co.
Best shoe shopping experience I've ever had. Bob helped me with my running shoe fit. I have a ton of requirements stability, wide 1st toe knuckle and just large feet in general. Bob worked with me until we found a shoe that fit just right. He even helped me find a high quality flip flop that gives support. I WILL 100% come back if I need running shoes. Also their athletic wear for women is so great. Really cute clothes.
