Vassar Brothers Medical Center in the Mid-Hudson Valley is accredited by the Medical Society of the State of New York to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Vassar Brothers CME produces over 400 one hour programs annually. These programs are primarily presented for the physicians and nurses in the Poughkeepsie, New York medical community.
Additionally several full or half day medical conferences are open to any physician, nurse or health care professional wishing to attend. Registration fees are charged for attending these conferences. Additional Accreditations are often provided for these conferences as appropriate. (AMA, ANCC, ASRT, CTR, ACPE etc)
The mission of Vassar Brothers Continuing Medical Education is to assist physicians, and other health care professionals in the interpretation, dissemination, and application of evidence-based knowledge to improve patient safety and enhance clinical outcomes for both patients and the overall health of the community. The goal is to provide information that will develop, maintain, and increase the knowledge, skill level, professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession, where a need is identified. Vassar Brothers CME will support the continuous improvement of the high quality healthcare provided by Vassar Brothers Medical Center and the Hudson Valley Healthcare Community.
To further the opportunity for quality education in this region, Vassar Brothers Continuing Medical Education will jointly provide educational activities with other health care organizations if the activities are consistent in content and method with the stated mission.
