Wow!!! Attorney Vaughan Jones did it again for me and my son. My son had someone with a vendetta take out a charge against him. Vaughan was so helpful and consistent in this entire process I was extremely happy and grateful for his representation. In the Courtroom I was highly impressed with his trial skills and his closing remarks I was stunned. Within 3-5 minutes the judge agreed and dismissed the charges against my son. It took me sometime to actually sit down and think about this review before posting . I wish I had did my research . Although Mr. Jones talks a very good game … he doesn’t deliver. His words are just that.. WORDS…They sound so sweet . He said that this will be a good experience but the experience wasn't much of an experience I’d like to remember or want anyone to experience .. it was more of a lesson learned. Mr. Jones …. I want your work to improve so that you can become a top performer in representing people. Communication is key. I did have a lot faith in you based off of your word . To me and my fiancé your word is EVERYTHING. This was only about money you didn’t deliver at all. #1. You weren’t prepared #2. You withheld some information until you realized you were being fired .. again your communication lacks and that’s what people rely on when they give you their money…PEOPLE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH …… I will never again make this kind of mistake. He also will not return your due amount and over bill you once you are not satisfied with his work. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR… DONT WALK , RUN !
Vaughn Jones is an over priced lawyer. Who never talked to my daughter he was suppose to represent in court. He never returned any of my calls until I went by his office and there is no one physically there. And when he was told he was unretained is when I received a call. He will not be representing my daughter in court but will not give a full refund of the over price fees. With his arrogance he said if I repeated after him on the phone and say everything he wanted me to say he would give the rest of the money. As if he was recording me. And when I refused he just said wish your daughter the best of luck. Beware do not hire this guy especially don’t give him your money without researching his reviews! Wish I did....
Mr. Jones is very professional and is a lawyer that I would recommend him to anyone. I was wrongfully accused of 3 felonies and he work hard in and out of court to make sure I was proven innocent. I was able to reach him and talk to him any time I want. We won because of his capability to find the truth and help the truth to come out in court. I'm very thankful to have him fight this battle with me and we won and was found not-guilty on all accounts. If you want someone to fight for you please hire Mr. Vaughn Jones. I recommend him for anyone who needs help fighting a good fight. Thank you Mr. Jones for your help against the lies that were brought up against me.
Jones called me after seeing my post… safe to say he wasn’t pleased. But I did post without some context. I had a review and I posted it in anger and frustration… I think a lot of people do that. So I spoke to my husband—his client, and then changed my review. My husband, Veteran, troubled past, never any serious issues with the law before, and first time offense had been charged with a serious felony in June 2022. This was a new and anxiety ridden experience. Jones was referred to me by his colleague. Initially he presents as ‘ready to go and fight for his client,’ but money as is for most attorneys… is his first priority. The only praise deserved is for the results of my husbands case. It could have been worse without retaining, but all things considered, Jones still could have done more. That’s based on me being educated, having common sense and the ability to do basic research about the charge in question. I’m not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination, and wasn’t given access to case details. But in no way shape or form is it okay for an attorney to imply issues of fault or guilt toward the client they are defending when they are constantly invoking attorney/client privilege limits. That being said…Folks, do your research, go to the Bar association website and check credentials before you retain a lawyer and GET A CONTRACT BEFORE YOU RETAIN. So here’s a list: Pros: -Reduced sentencing on a felony charge -Reasonable price - established network and some decent level of influence in the local practice areas. Cons: - client must pay first to get Jones to do the initial interview. - took too long to get a contract -Very Poor communication -Doesn’t respond to “routine questions” —according to his paralegal - schedules for meetings and calls and misses them with no follow-up or explanation - ignores calls and correspondence - doesn’t do meet with client before court appearances or after so that the client is well informed and is understanding the process. -inconsistent updates on case related information/details. -no accountability for the lack of communication when questioned/called on it. - simply does not adhere to his own word when it comes to keeping the client informed/ up to date. In short, My husband wasn’t a priority. Jones spent a lot of time trying to cover his butt explaining things to me that he should’ve been communicating to my husband/client about. I shouldn’t have been nearly as involved or begging trying to get him to communicate effectively with my husband. This was all a shot in the dark process. It’s clear that his goal is to get results, but don’t be fooled, he’s not an attorney with genuine interpersonal skills or that cares about the client being well informed on the case. Make sure you have a baseline understanding of what you are in for and the potential outcomes. As a paying client you pay for the service you get so you have a right to choose if you want someone who cares or someone who’s just doing their job… or both. Ask him up front what to expect with him so you’re prepared to make the best decision possible before going through the full process with Jones.
Mr Jones handled a case for my son last year. We reside in a different state and my son ran into some trouble while in Virginia. As soon as we retained Mr Jones, he was on top of things asap. He stayed in contact with us during every court appearance, etc. He reassured us things will work out and it did. We put our trust in him and so can you
We owe an eternal debt to Brent and Vaughan. These two men defended my husband who was wrongfully accused. They spent countless hours on his case. They spoke the truth of the case and defended him to a Commonwealth Attorney set on convicting him. The jury of his peers heard the truth and wonderful defense Mr. Jackson and Mr. Jones spoke for him, and gave us our lives and family back. We rest easy at night now, and know these two men are to thank for that! The very best in expertise and professionalism!
