We had a wonderful experience here! Our primary vet was not able to handle what was going on with our 10 year old Siamese so they sent us here and everyone was wonderful. We were seen quickly, they answered all of our questions, and they took such great care of Kitty. Dr. Lopes went above and beyond and even called me the next day from home with test results and her recommendations. Kitty is now on the road to recovery because of them and I will forever be grateful for how we were all treated. We will use them again if we have have any type of emergency for both my cat and dog. Thank you, VCA Weymouth! The whole team was incredible!
Thank you to all the staff at VCA South Shore Weymouth that took such amazing care of my cat Bandit last week! My three year old cat Bandit went from seeming completely normal one day to a very sick cat the next. After being initially assessed at Vet Urgent Care Plymouth and finding out he had a low heart rate, low blood pressure, was anemic and had bleeding in abdomen, when asked which animal hospital I wanted to take him, there was no question in my mind that he was going to VCA Weymouth. I have always received great care here! And knew he would be in good hands. From the moment I arrived, I had a team waiting to rush him back immediately and got initial assessments done. They were upfront about the costs and kept me informed of everything that was going on. He was ultimately diagnosed with a very severe acute pancreatitis. Spent two nights getting world class vet care and the best cuddles from the team! Came home after two nights and has been back to his normal self, eating well and playing with his fur brother Myles. Bandit, Myles and I cannot thank everyone enough for all they did!!! I truly believe the awesome care he received is why he is still with us!!! You all are TRULY THE BEST!! THANK YOU!!! From Bandit, Myles and Sarah
Thank you so much for providing emergency care for Luna after the fire. We are completely and utterly devastated, but because of the efforts of the amazing staff we were able to hold her paw and tell her she was a good girl before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Every.Single.Staffmember exhibited empathy and compassion during what was one of the lowest and saddest points in our lives. It's obvious that the staff is extremely passionate about the welfare of the animals in their care. I cannot recommend this hospital enough.
After numerous visits to our Vet we chose to bring our 12 year old Goldendoodle Riley to be checked out. He had a lame front leg and could not walk on it. Dr Davis removed his leg and shoulder. The operation went off without any hitches and 8 months later he has adjusted completely and is now running around like nothing happened. The staff at South Shore Weymouth are top notch!!! Phenomenal is the word I would use to describe them!!
Our dog was originally misdiagnosed with a torn CCL by VEG, we took him to VCA SW after a surgical consult recommended ER treatment and I can not say enough the amazing doctors and staff at VCA! From the moment we arrived, they took incredible care of our little guy. We were given x-rays, surgical consult and a treatment plan with medication. The staff sent us pictures of our little guy while he was in the back and they even decorated his cast. During this trying time post-Covid, finding quality and compassionate veterinary care is rare. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility and we will definitely bring our dog back, even though it is over an hour away.
We are so grateful to the Weymouth VCA for their wonderful care of our nearly 15 year old dog who was experiencing an emergency. Their care of our dog and support to us was unparalleled in expertise and kindness. We are especially grateful to Drs. Berthiaume & Bruinsma, Stephanie, Natasha and Kathleen. Our beloved dog is home with his family and comfortable and we were not sure that was going to be possible. Thank you again!
We saw Dr. Zion at the VCA for a cyst that ruptured on my dog. He provided my dog with wonderful care. He explained everything in depth and took all the time to answer any questions or concerns I had. He also was very thoughtful and thorough when deciding the best treatment plan for my dog. He deserves to be acknowledged for the compassionate care that he provides to animals and their owners.
I cant say enough amazing things about the VCA. Not only did they help me with my older chihuahua when she had a severe allergic reaction to an unknown object one random night. Her throat swelled up and I took her right to them. In 30 minutes they had my sweet girl back to her usual happy self. Now I take my new chihuahua puppy there and everyone loves her. They take great care with my girls and I can't he happier. They offered me affordable pet care packages for both of my dogs, which I find to be an amazing help. My girls are covered for a low monthly rate. Outside of scripts... there's no out of pocket cost to me at their appointments. Our family loves the VCA family. All of you are amazing. Thank u so much for all that u do for us
May 3 2023 I took my fur baby Red 7yrs old my poor baby could barley walk was not eating or drinking she ate something and started to have diarrhea and vomiting which I told the vet they did a ultrasound gave her IV and said give her a plain rice and chicken to eat I called the next day May 4th telling them she’s not eating or drinking and she having seizures I told the young lady I heard if a dog stop going to the bathroom there getting ready to pass away she told me that’s not true . I gave them all my money on May 3 2023 $500.00 it total the gist cost $971.00 there billing me the remaining May 5th my fur baby died in my sons arms at 4:37am . I do not recommend
I was happy with the care that my dog received here from the vet. I thought that the bill was absolutely ridiculous. My dog had an infection and the vet was unable to resolve the problem. They sent me home with antibiotics which may or may not resolve the issue. Despite the fact that my issue wasn’t resolved, they took advantage of the fact that I care about my dog and sought care, and charged me 700 dollars for care that wasn’t a resolution to my dogs issues. I had to pay 250 dollars for an antibiotics. This is emotional terrorism. For 700 dollars I would expect a better result than that.
