We sell art supplies to NIU students and artists in the community. We're one of the largest college bookstore art departments in the mid-west.
We are an art supply store within a privately owned college bookstore. We serve NIU students and faculty, local artists and area schools.
VCB Art Department carries a range of student grade to professional grade paints and mediums for acrylic, oil, watercolor and gouache. We also carry paint brushes, gessoes and grounds, stretcher bars and painting surfaces such as canvas, pre-stretched canvas, canvas boards, basswood panels, claybords and gessobords. We also carry an array of drawing supplies, enamels, inks, airbrush equipment and paints, book and papermaking supplies, ceramic supplies and sculpture tools, drafting tools, pens and markers, pen nibs and holders, easels, matting and presentation materials, portfolios and presentation cases etc. VCB also has a large selection of western, Asian and decorative papers for drawing, printmaking and drafting. Of course we also have a large selection of drawing pads and sketchbooks.
The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in various art disciplines.
