Description

Velocity Five in Sterling encompasses approximately 5,600 square feet and features a 1,800 square foot enclosed outdoor patio. It has a seating capacity of 200 persons and parking available for up to 300 cars. The outdoor patio features a custom all-season awning which covers an outdoor bar, dining tables and lounge area. There are also several large flat screen HDTV’s available for outdoor viewing. The indoor dining and lounge area feature custom booths and high top tables, as well as several dining tables. The focal point of the entire facility is the presence of 30 large, flat screen HDTV’s and a state-of-the-art sound system which transforms the restaurant into a sports viewing paradise.

I've been to this location numerous times and have always had a good experience. This last visit I had the Bleu Bacon Cheeseburger and onion rings. Burger was cooked perfectly as I ordered. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes and bun. The onion rings were fantastic. I wasn't sure about the parm dusted on top but it added another level of flavor. Service was superb!
We have gotten grilled wings from here couple of time. It's great to have them grilled and not fried. Both times our order was not ready for pickup as indicated which can be frustrating. They need to do a better job with figuring out timing so I'm not waiting 20 minutes more than order was promised it will be ready.Food: 5/5
The grilled wings are hard to beat. Along with the peanut sauce. I used to live here and frequent this place when it was still called Fox Chase Tavern . The good Ole days.
Wings were horrible, hard, chewy, dry and the service was even worse! the bald server that was serving us did a terrible job, was rude and for the majority of the time acted as if my table didn’t exist, super rude. save your money and DO NOT COME HERE!
Food is good but bar service is horrible. I often wait 5-10 minutes to get a drink even when they are not busy. Bartenders never look up while they talk to people they know. I have often walked out after waiting 5 plus minutes to get a drink.Food: 4/5
It’s a nice looking and clean bar with a great patio out back to sit and enjoy but the bartenders were kinda dismissive and not very helpful. They also allow their regulars to occupy seats at the bar while they sit outside and smoke for 20+ min at a time which I thought was kinda sucky. And they’re just back and forth the whole time, holding a seat inside while they sit out side and only come back in to grab a drink and sit in the seat for maybe 2-3 min at a time. Idk how that flies on a night where it’s more packed…
Came in to get food and there was this one guy on the server side yelling at the computer, acting erratic like he was on drugs and freaking out like a headless chicken, definitely should not be working here but! The host seemed new and completely clueless The bartender, bar back, and manager were absolutely amazing. Will come back again
A solid bar. It feels somewhere nicely between upscale and a dive. I always enjoy the ice-cold pint glasses for everything on draft and I love the chicken tenders. Don't expect fancy cocktails, but the basic drinks are good. Check out prime rib night! Parking: Tons of parking in the shopping center that the restaurant is located in
By far the worst place to get wings. I paid $27 for 20 wings and I got at least what seemed to be two day old, dry, re-cooked wings. We ended up throwing away 3/4 of the wings we ordered. We were picking up our dog from daycare and decided to give them a try. Had we not lived so far away, I would have taken the order back and demanded my money back. If Velocity Wings valued their customers, they would reach out to me to reimburse what I had ordered. At least someone there knows how to make a good cobb salad.
Great service, drinks and food. Real neighborhood "Cheers" bar. Lots of regulars where the bartenders know their orders by heart. There are family tables in back to separate them from the crowd of the bar patrons. There's one staff member by the name of Travis tall, red head who is the best there. If he helps you, tip him well.Food: 4/5
