Enjoyed my trip on the Amtrak..Nice,quiet,hidden station parallel to the beach. Walking distance to great food, bars, entertainment and across the street from the Players Casino.
Ventura Trian Station is our most favorite station. We are here for most every passenger train arriving and departing. This is a passenger rail station platform only. Located in downtown Ventura, across the street from the Ventura County Fair Parking lot. The station is served by Local Taxi Services Gold Coast Cab & Airport Taxi, Cab 4 You. All taxis are Available 24 Hours. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, from San Luis Obispo, to San Diego. Ten Pacific Surfliner trains serve the station daily.
VENTURA is a clean, mellow vibes beach town! Good food!
Train station is adequate. Parking is a problem. Ia fairground entrance. No hours of when overnight parking can get into lot. No easy access to train. Amtrak parking only accessiblr
Beautiful location, 3 stars only because the kiosk is broken. Punks graffiti it and the screen is shattered. The website is slow so I don't like buying online and it's expensive to buy on the train.
THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT PARKING!! If you need to park overnight, book your ticket from Oxnard. The Oxnard station has secure overnight parking.
I rode FlixBus to Las Vegas - short version: they LEFT ABOUT 30 OF US THERE WITH NO COMMUNICATION , NO RIDE BACK , NO EMAIL, NO PHONE CALLS. I had to take a taxi to the airport and catch a flight to LAX, Flyaway to Union Station, then Amtrak to Oxnard. I was in communication with FlixBus after this fiasco and they just ignored me - exactly like they ignored us is Vegas.
Small town feel with big city conveniences. The micro-climate is unbeatable. However, you'll 'pay' for that micro-climate AKA the "Sun Tax"!
This place always gives me the creeps. Be it from the queue of questionable cabs, or the seemingly endless amount of homeless people staggering in like zombies ready to ask for your spare change. The parking is completely confusing as it's part of the fairground.
