Fire Station 43 serves the eastern end of the City of Simi Valley and the unincorporated areas of the Knolls and Box Canyon.
The Susana Knolls Fire Station is staffed daily by three firefighters and houses an engine (Engine 43); a brush engine (Engine 343); and a utility pickup (Utility 43).
Currently, a new Fire Station 43 is being developed on Los Angeles Avenue near Yosemite Avenue to replace the older station and move it closer to the population it serves. It is expected to open in mid 2011.
