They will go above and beyond to not only make sure the the resident is receiving the help they need, but make their time there feel like home.

This place was horrible. We had my mom stay because she began developing dementia. I needed proper help since my sister and i were the only ones taking care of her. However my sister lives further from us, so it was mostly me who did what i could. Weeks passed and i couldnt do it alone. So we sought help from Veranda. Everything was okay for the first week. Which is the week that they give you to decide on whether or not you want your loved one to stay. We were happy, and decided to choose veranda. After the first week though things started to get worse. Some of the staff were rude, the night shift nurses were even more so. When we did a surprise visit, my mom was on her bed wearing a shirt that wasnt hers, as well as wearing a diaper that was not only really tight on her, but soaked, not to meantion that she wasnt even covered, she was exposed from the waist, down. They didnt even bother putting the blanket back on her. This definitly wasnt the only incident we experianced there. If you have a loved one there and you want to visit. Do a surprise visit around noon to late noon. I guarantee you that you wont like how your loved one is being treated. We moved my mom from that aweful place.

This year I had my father who was in the hospital with COVID for 3 months and had his rehab/pt done there at Veranda. He was so very pleased with all of his nurses, especially Nurse Veronica and Nurse Lizet. He also enjoyed his physical therapy sessions with Hector Hernandez. Over all my family and I were super pleased with his stay there and all who worked with him and kept our minds at ease with all their daily reports. Thank you VERANDA!

I just want to say “thank you so much” to the staff at Veranda Rehab & Healthcare! My mom was at Veranda for the past four years with Alzheimer’s, and the staff was always caring, compassionate and patient with mom. Mom recently passed, and I have to say their staff showed such a high level of kindness and compassion during the last several weeks of her life, and I’m eternally grateful to everyone who took care of mom. I want to give a special shout-out to the nurses, CNAs and med-aids – most recently I remember Lizette, Christina, Ronnie, Rosa, Sylvia, and Elva, but all their staff were top-notch!

My mother was in the facility for about seven weeks and had a great experience in there. She got discharged about two weeks ago. Staff was really nice and kept my mothers room clean. When my mother went in she couldn’t walk, go to the restroom or get out of bed without assistance. During those seven weeks the therapy team did an amazing job. They were able to help her accomplish all those goals. It’s been a long journey for her since her accident and she thought she wouldn’t able to do those things again but therapy team was able to change that. She’s slowly doing them and has returned back as an out patient. Thank you to the staff and especially the therapy team at Veranda. I highly recommend them.

My experience at Veranda with outpatient therapy is excellent. All staff PT/OT/ST have been accommodating and helpful with their overall care with me. They helped me recover after my recent hospitalization from my abdominal and asthma issues. I was previously receiving services at a outpatient clinic in Brownsville and did not receive the great care and customer services, like I have here at Veranda. All their time and attention has been greatly appreciated.

There are numerous options for facilities to place your loved one for long term or short term care. Veranda Rehabilitation & Healthcare is one of the best. The nursing, clinical and therapy staff go above and beyond to take care of all expectations and needs. The facility has great customer service, very friendly and a genuine caring spirit for their residents. Highly recommend!!!

My entire Veranda experience has been top notch. From nursing to rehab, the care has been second to none. The Rehab staff has been so professional but also caring and a joy to train with. They take the time to do things right. No complaints. I am here as a return rehab out patient and have been provided with a really great shuttle service.

Thank you Veranda staff!! My great grandma and great uncle were there earlier this year year. It was reassuring knowing they were getting stronger and healthier as everyday passed. We are thankful to the staff that helped them recover and return home. We appreciate the care, attention and assistance they received.
