Dr. Jeffrey Vrielink was born in Switzerland
and lived in the Netherlands, Germany, and
Belgium before moving to Texas in 1978. He
completed medical school at UTMB in
Galveston, Texas in 1992. He served the US
Navy as a Flight Surgeon before completing his
training in Psychiatry at the OU College of
Medicine in Tulsa, OK in 2002. He then moved
his family to Grand Rapids where he worked at
Pine Rest as a staff psychiatrist. In December
2012 Dr. Vrielink started Veritas Integrated
Psychiatric Care to address his patients’ needs
with his holistic approach of addressing mind,
body, and spirit. He enjoys running, hunting,
photography, and making maple syrup with his
family.
Dr. Vrielink has a tender, yet practical
approach to psychiatry from his 7 years of
primary care experience in the Navy and from
his training in Psychiatry and Biblical
counseling.
He has a desire to see his patients “set free”
from the root issues that have kept them
depressed, anxious, and fearful for too long.
His approach of integrating the physical and
spiritual issues in mental health has offered his
patients hope and freedom so they can enjoy
a better quality of life.
