Ms. Alice is Very unprofessional, rude & she hung up in my face; which is a NO NO!!!! She hung up on the nurse or the supervisor at the Dialysis Center where my 92 year old Brother n law receives his treatments 3 times a week! MY Brother n law was sent to a Community Hospital without notifying the Family of his where abouts due to his phone is lost at this rehabilitation center!!!! So, how was he support to contact his Family!!!! Ms. Alice also able to contact his Family!!!! Ms. Alice shifted the blame on the Dialysis Center & said that they were the ones who had him sent to the Community Hospital!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME
My brother is dead because of this place. Administration mislead my family into thinking that once insurance didn't pay for skilled need that the patient would run the risk of being put out on the street unsafely. They did not disclose that they have a fiscal and legal responsibility to pick up the patient as custodial. The administrator did everything in their power to get rid of the patient dispite knowing that he needed to stay there to save his life. They lied to my family to get him out and he is now dead. The social workers were uncaring and are not helpful at all. If you love your family and your life, DO NOT go to this facility. The administration here will not care about you or your family's well being or health. They are only in it for the insurance payments and their own paychecks. The attending doctor was terrible as well. Thank you to the CNAs that were overworked but still showed care.
The most unprofessional skilled nursing facility that I have ever been in. They have some of the most rude nurses, and they do not even answer the help alarm that patients press when they need help often. I was having an asthma attack, and it took 43 minutes for someone to answer. Thank God I found my old inhaler to help the attack. When the convid19 situation started, they never informed the patients about how to stay safe, the staff only cared about themselves. I asked for a mask and was told by the administrator that when she has to wear one, then I can have one. She's in her big office, isolated a huge part of her day. Anyway, this place can't even hold on to new staff because of how their co-workers are.
I must say, to have to place your family in a care home can be one of the most difficult decisions. Although I was nervous at first, I must say I am so happy I choose this facility for my mom. The nurses and cna’s truly care about their patients. My mom can be difficult at times, but everyone is so patient with her and seem to always go out of their way to make sure she is comfortable.
My name is mike and i was a resident at Vernon for a couple of weeks. For it being in South Central it was a good clean place to recover. Food is decent for it being hospital food. Staff was good with the care and helped when i needed. Martel works his butt off and helps all the patients in that place. Martel assisted me with finding a good place to live and helped me find a job to make some money. I go back weekly to help volunteer because alot of family members dont come visit their loved ones and its sad. Dont be fooled by some of these reviews. The place smells clean when housekeeping is making rounds. I would go back if i need rehab or care. i will vouch for the facility and Martel.
The place is nice, the nurses so far were nice but the dsd Dunya has a horrible attitude, rude, unprofessional and unaproachable . i was punctual and ready for orientation she acted as if i wasnt even there. The way they operate is just sloppy period. Wouldnt recommend any decent cna to work here .
Took my grandma out of there the first night. She was suicidal and they left her medications in a bag next to her nightstand. She ended up taking pills again on her own behalf while in their care. They didn't even know what medications she was taking and they hadn't offered her anything to eat. This is totally unacceptable!!!
This place is horrible I wouldn’t put my love one here NEVER again!!!! they don’t care about the patients the assistant administrator Martel is very unprofessional I had so many bad experience with this nursing home when you call the nursing station the nurses don’t pick up the phone they withheld information from me my dad fell in this place it was nobody around to watch him the assistant Administrator Martel was trying to dump my dad serval times to other nursing homes was trying to get my father out of their nursing home because they didn’t want to be bothered with him anymore he would call and say I found and Indenendent living for your dad but not let the other party know that my dad had dementia if I wasn’t doing my research he was basically dumping my dad then they don’t take care of your love one the staff treat the patient wrong I heard an older black man calling for help on the weekends when I was visiting my father the black nurse told him you need to stop yelling for help we’re busy you have to wait to Monday to get help he the man was in a wheelchair crying this place is horrible they neglect the patients the bathroom rooms in the patients room is nasty smell like straight piss you have to tell them to clean your family members bathroom ects and to top it off Martel let someone come to the this facility and discharge my dad with out my permission he was in on it !!!! they didn’t call me and let me know anything this place need to be shut down and investigate Martel also violated the Hyppa right of the Patient.
Lots of screaming and yelling. Nurses do not answer the call light and the food is terrible, dog food is better. Avoid at all costs.
Worst place ever. Very dirty and staff there are very rude... first night my dad was there was a nightmare. tranferred him imediately to another facility
