Region 5 AHA online organization for Arabian horse enthusiasts, formerly International Arabians in Sport Association. Open to all divisions/acitivities
Versatile Arabian Horse Association ( formerly known as International Arabians in Sport Association, is an AHA affiliated "club" open to any and all Arabian horse enthusiasts in all disciplines. Based in R-5, with officers and BOD members across the country, we have a scope that is more than a local club. We are currently working on a complete re vamping of our Incentive programs, which will include recognition for riders, trainers, and owners in both divisions, and also in open and non showing but athletic activities. All interested in helping us to grow are welcome, amamteur and professional alike. VAHA is all about fostering promotion of, and growth of our breed popularity in all activities that are responsible, humane, and inclusive. Come join us!
To promote and encourage the use of the Arabian and half/Anglo Arabian horse in all aspects of equine performance and ridden or driven sport, from trail riding to the all of the FEI recognized disciplines. We welcome also, those who prefer to show in the Main Ring venues, thus celebrating how truly VERSATILE this breed is.
The Arabian is truly the original sport horse, war horse, family friend, and "go to" breed for MANY activities, and has proven it for centuries. In addition, the Arabian horse is not only one of the most beautiful of all breeds, but also one of the most trainable and intelligent of all breeds!
As an international association of like-minded breeders, riders, trainers, clubs and Arabian horse fans, it is VAHA's intent to grow a voice that is heard within the Arabian horse community and also the "outside equine world".
We encourage the use of the Arabian horse in the sports of dressage, jumping, eventing, and carriage driving, and ALL other disciplines and activites . We love our halter horses too, make no mistake about that!
We support our breed organizations and work within them to further the best interests of Arabian horses and the people who own them.
We encourage quality, correct conformation, and " form to function" ideals, without loss of Arabian type (per the written breed standard ) in our breeding barns.
