Great time here for my mom's birthday! They were very professional and friendly. And our pumpkins turned out great! Also, I'm in a wheelchair and had no problems, they were both very helpful and accommodating. It was obvious that I'm not their 1st client to come in a wheelchair by their instructions and helpfulness. It was also very easy to get in the studio, they opened the garage door and I rolled right on in! The parking...that might be a different issue for some- there is a designated handicap parking spot across the street but of course the sidewalk was awkward to navigate from the passenger side trying to transfer to a wheelchair. Maybe there was more accessible parking somewhere else, but we didn't look since I can navigate most things at this point. Bottom line...can't wait to go back!!
I had my surprise bachelorette party here on Friday and I had SO much fun!! Drew and Jacob did a great job teaching up the steps to making ornaments and were very knowledgeable with the process. My sister has special needs and once I realized what we were doing, I was a little nervous for her to participate, but they were so patient with her and let her help out! They even remembered that her birthday was the next day and wrote that on her take home ornament. I HIGHLY recommend!!
We recently celebrated my sister’s bachelorette party at Vessel Studios. Drew and Jacob were the absolute nicest people you could ever meet! We learned so much and all had such a great time. One of my sisters has special needs, and they worked with her to make an ornament just like they did with everyone else. They even remembered that she told them 16 times it was her birthday the next day and wrote happy birthday on her ornament wrapper when we picked it up the next day. It was so cool for them to take the time to do that little thing and really meant a lot to us. My mom and I have already come back to make Easter eggs and can’t wait to visit again!
Loads of fun! Did my holiday employee event here and it was awesome! Everyone truly enjoyed it. Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. Also very easy to book event, called me right away and was very flexible! Can't wait to go back again!
Vessel Studio Glass is a wonderful visit! Very informative, great instruction and Drew and Jake are excellent demonstrators and teachers. Learned a lot about the process of glass blowing stemless wine glasses. There are a variety of projects to sign up for with lots of color choices. The owners provided excellent customer service for us by working with our difficult schedule and making our party work for them on a very busy weekend! Highly recommend this experience. Street parking only--go early to find a parking place.
Love everything we have made there!!! Staff is super friendly!
Ordered an orange bowl with blue trim at the Ann Arbor Art Fair in July and would appreciate an update. Poor customer service! To update above, refund received but disappointed that I didn't get the bowl, it would have been pefect.
On July 31st, my boyfriend and I booked a glass blowing session for 2 people on September 30th at 3:30 pm. It was something we have always wanted to do, but it always sold out before we had the chance to. As the glass blowing experience approached, I took the day off work and we coordinated an entire day around the session. We were very excited to go. On September 27th, we received our confirmation email reminding us of our upcoming session. On September 29th at 3:07 pm, we received an automatic cancellation email that our appointment had been cancelled and we needed to reschedule. The email provided no explanation for the cancellation. There was no additional email sent and no contact attempted by phone. Confused, my boyfriend tried the number provided and left a message. He also sent a Facebook message. Concerned, I called the company as well and after 2 calls, reached Janine spelling?. She explained that they didn’t receive the glass supplies needed for the session and that they were cancelling all sessions on Saturday and all sessions on Sunday. I asked if they were going to reschedule or offer an additional session for those who have already signed up. I was informed that I could reschedule after January 1st, 2018 because the rest of the pumpkin workshops were booked. I mentioned that a glass pumpkin wouldn’t really do me much good in January and she agreed. I asked if we could come another time instead. She told me that she would speak with the guys who run the workshops and call me back. She didn’t seem concerned and it was like she was caught off guard by my questions. On October 4th, I still hadn’t heard back. I called the company again and left a voicemail for Janine asking for a return call. Today is October 10th. I just attempted to reach Janine again and it went to her voicemail. I left another message, but it’s been 11 days since our first conversation. I don’t have high hopes that she will call me back. I understand that things happen. I’m not sure why supplies weren’t ordered ahead of time since we booked 2+ months prior and they had already had a weekend of workshops, but even then I can understand that it might have been out of their control. I’m not an expert in glass supplies, but I would imagine that there has to be more than 1 supplier. All of that aside, there is absolutely no excuse for how it has been handled. I would expect a phone call or email explanation for the cancellation. As a customer, I shouldn’t have to make numerous attempts to find out if it was cancelled intentionally or in error. When called, I would expect that a business do everything it can to accommodate those that were cancelled. An additional session could have been opened for those who were still interested in attending a workshop. Ironically, Vessel Studio Glass has a 48 hour cancellation policy in which you will forfeit 100% of your session fee if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment. They provided only 24 hour cancellation notice to us and were not apologetic in any way. They also did absolutely nothing to try and make it right. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and wish that we would have had the opportunity to attend the workshop that we signed up for.
Really cool place. My wife and I have never made anything with glass before. We stopped by on a day they were making glass flowers. The owners were very nice and cool. They worked with us step by step. The working conditions were very safe.
My cousins and I had such a wonderful time making the pumpkins and the ornaments. They are beautiful! Looking forward to the spring!
