Located in Vicksburg, MI we offer the student photographer a unique experience with both film and digital media.
VHS has offered students the opportunity to experience the world of photography through both classes Photo I and Photo II. Both classes focus on learning the fundamentals of photography in relation to the exposure, developing techniques, depth of field, aperture effect, shutter effect, etc. Photography I projects include the Photogram (contact print), Warhol Self Portrait and Select Focus (creative use of short depth of field aperture settings). Photography II offers more alternative processes instead of traditional. Photo restoration, double exposure, and masking layers are a few of these projects.
My goal is for each student to express him/herself in the medium of photography. This would include both film and digital formats. Self expression is the key to unique content and true creativity.
