Currently the district spans 612 square miles of excellence. Victoria ISD boasts nearly 15,000 students, with 17 elementary schools and 8 secondary schools. The VISD prides itself on its vast spectrum of academic programs. These include advanced academics, gifted and talented classes, bilingual, pre-AP classes, dual credit courses, AVID, dyslexia, and a whole host of educational opportunities through the special education department.
Victoria ISD earned the Texas Education Agency’s highest accountability rating of Met Standard in 2015. The district was also awarded a Superior Achievement financial rating from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.
The mission of Victoria ISD is to provide rigorous, relevant learning and life experiences so that all students contribute positively to society.
