Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the fastest growing sport in the world right now. One of the main reasons is because people are realizing Jiu-Jitsu is not just about self-defense, it is also about self-transformation. Jiu-Jitsu engages the individual in a dynamic way benefiting the practitioner mentally, emotionally and physically regardless of age or fitness level.

Mentally - the learning centers of the brain are turned on, increasing circulation and flooding the brain with neurotrophic factors that decrease inflammation, promote brain cell growth and increase longevity.

Emotionally - you will overcome your fears as you train yourself to become more relaxed, calm and present in uncomfortable and unfamiliar situations.

Physically - you will literally turn back the biological clock. You will lose weight, become stronger, more flexible, more connected and more confident.

At Vieira Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy we truly believe that Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone and we are committed to creating an environment that allows you to experience a better version of yourself through the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I never in a million years ever saw myself doing martial arts of any kind but here I am. I have learned and fallen in love with Brazilian Ju Jitsu, for so many reasons. This school is family first, the support that is given to new students especially women is off the charts. Professor Vieira and the more advanced students are so patient and understanding, so willing to help new students along in this journey. Then as a woman add the self defense skills I am learning the self awareness, the confidence if you have even once wondered about BJJ come to Vieira Academy, see for yourself how amazing this place and these people are. Thank you Professor Vieira for all that you are doing for me in this journey. I can never thank you enough.
The academy is a highlight of my son's youth. The approach taken here to teach lends itself to reaching many different goals and needs. Our family has a mess of varied interests and we are welcomed to be as dedicated as our schedule allows. Professor Vieira is an outstanding communicator who is available and who I trust completely. Instructor John and the student body also make this school an excellent and special place to have your martial arts journey.
Both my children are enrolled here and we couldn’t be happier, the school is organized and well run. Vieira and the other coaches has a way with kids that keeps them focused and engaged without being over the top. The school itself has a friendly atmosphere with parents who are engaged. We definitely feel this school could be a long term choice for our children’s martial arts training. As a side note i have been involved in martial arts for many years and was very turned off by many schools for the same reason as many martial artists and none of those games exist here.
Amazing school with the highest quality instruction lead by professor Vierira. He goes above and beyond in His classes with attention to detail every second of the class. The care and concern he shows for his students is completely evident He’s a genuine class act and rare to find. My advice is to simply take a free introduction class and if you’ve been to other schools You will see the difference. He inspires his students to be the best they can in Juijitsu and life. .
I’ve been told I’m a parent with high expectations and I take this as a compliment and a way of life. I feel your children’s sport should fit in the same category. Vieira Academy has exceeded my expectations for almost 2 years now. This academy is consistent, motivating, inspiring & the professor truly cares for each & every student. If you want a school that teaches not only self defense and body awareness but also sportsmanship and ethical decision making, this is your gym.
Professor Vieira and Vieira Jiu-Jitsu has changed my life. I went to a class as a recommendation from a friend and thought I’d check out Jiu-Jitsu once and never come back. Professor Vieira was very welcoming and took the time to get to know me right away. I quickly felt that I was part of the family. He does an amazing job of teaching a diverse group. Whether you are there to compete at a high level, learn self defense and the art of BJJ or get in shape, you will get what you are looking for. The class is also blessed with a great group of people to train with. The whole group training at Vieira has become a family. I look forward to every session. I am in much better shape. The mental aspect of jiu-jitsu has helped with my work life and I am now competing at a high level. My son has gotten into it as well, and Vieira Academy’s kids program is second to none in the State of Florida. My son loves it and Professor gets the most out of the kids while making it a fun experience. I highly recommend Vieira Jiu-Jitsu to anyone!
My son has been training at the Vieira Jiu-Jitsu Academy for over 2 years now. He began his journey at the age of 4, and has been blessed to not only gain knowledge, strength and self-confidence, but has also developed wonderful friendships with his teammates. Professor Vieira is an excellent instructor who combines discipline and praise to help every individual perform at their best. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience!
I enrolled my son a little over a year ago at this academy. I am amazed at the 1 on 1 attention that Professor Vieira gives to each and every one of the children at the academy. He provides a combination of discipline with fun for the kids and my child can't wait to go to class! He is extremely technical in teaching the moves and he teaches from a syllabus. We have attended several tournaments where Professor Vieira has multiple students to coach and he makes sure that he gets to every one of them during the tournaments.
