Your Officer Pontbriand was so nice and helpful when we hit a deer on Sept 15 and totaled our car. We have never had a car accident before and he was so calm and professional. You are lucky to have this young man on your team.

My first thought is no longer "call the police for help", because they won't.

On the evening of July 3 2018 my parents and I were profiled subject to light color on the roof of a pickup truck I own that was being driven by a member of the group I was with. I was not occupying this vehicle and willingly pulled over the lead vehicle I was operating. Considering that my party drove 150 miles to patronize that particular area and get within 4 miles of my destination to only be harassed at a dangerous peak holiday traffic for a ridiculous light color that is NOT a DOT requirement on the roof of a pickup. The officer was oncoming traffic to the group of traffic I was leading and obviously had to make an unessacery abrupt u turn, stop traffic just to get to 1 of 2 matching vehicles, and was issued a citation for adequate, working, dot required lights. There was almost 4 accidents during the 45 min that the officer took to come up with this charge he could not prove to me. I have run my pickup personally through this area for over 7 years now and have never had any issues till this holiday week. Running the same equipment and lights today as 7 years ago. These people come up with rules and laws as they go obviously. If I had my way, it would be a ZERO star rating for this department!

This is FALSE information. We are open 24/7 and continue to keep those in Vilas County safe. We are working on resolving this issue.

I wonder what of actual significance this department has or will ever accomplish. What ashame.....
