We were traveling in Jericho, NY with our Aussie puppy, when she hurt her back. We saw all the great reviews for Dr. Denise, so we called Village Animal Hospital. They got us in immediately, and Dr. Denise was so kind and gentle with our baby! By that evening, our puppy was feeling so much better after her treatment. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital!
I’ve started going to this vet a few years ago with my old dog. It came highly recommended by my groomer especially for boarding and taking care of my 16 year old girl. Dr. Denise is to the point but she cares about the animals and doing the right thing by them. When I lost my old girl she was so thoughtful handwritten letter by not only her staff but also by her for the care that I took of my girl. Fast forward 6 months later and I adopted a little rescue dog. I knew exactly I wanted to take her to Dr Denise as well. Dr. Denise is so knowledgeable and hard working. She always follows up and calls back. Prices are a little higher but I don’t mind due to the care we get. Front desk staff are always friendly and appointments are usually easy to get even last min Love Jenn she’s so sweet. We have used the groomers too and all are so caring. We even bring my moms 17 year old dog to get groomed and he does great. I would highly recommend!
My cat Luna has had some ongoing skin issues for quite some time and no luck getting to the bottom of it or why it happens. After having bad experiences in both my regular vet and the dermatologist and spending tons of money, on a recommendation I went to see Dr. Balsamo and Ashley his vet tech at the Village Animal Hospital. They were both so understanding, determined and helpful with trying to get to the bottom of my kittys issues. Dr. Balsamo was polite, professional, and went above and beyond diagnosing my Luna. Ashley was amazing at keeping me grounded and explaining to me everything that needed to be done and dealing with my spicy luna tuna. I know she is not easy LOL. We finally have her on a treatment that is working as we continue and close to determining what could be the underlying cause of Luna's medical condition which is causing these flare ups. They are a blessing in disguse and are now Lunas primary vet office. Overall, very positive experience with the office and the rest of the staff. Very thankful for them and getting Luna back on track to her normal self again.
This is by far one of the greatest veterinarians in all of New York. I have been taking my boys here for the last 5 years. They offer physical therapy services that basically helped keep Jack from having to get surgery suggested by another vet. Dr Denise cares and makes every effect to provide the best care for your pets. When a doctor takes the time to call you personally after business hours and go over prognosis and suggestions good luck finding that kind of service elsewhere. So thankful for everything they have done throughout the years.
Always the very best care for my dogs. Friendly staff. Dr Balsamo is a caring and knowledgeable veterinarian! I have the utmost faith in Village Animal Hospital. My Scotties have been 27 year clients!

Loved Dr Denise, and so did our dog! Always ask for a script and buy the routine pet meds elsewhere, like Costco, for half price what this office charges.
Absolutely wonderful vet. Dr. Balsamo is fanastic and will always inform me with everything step by step the ensure that I know exactly what is going on. I also drop off my golden retriever for doggie daycare and they treat him great. Its good to go into the office and not have to worry about my boy. He loves it here, everytime we go to the door his tail is wagging so fast and he cant wait to play. Great to see a puppy so excited to see his Vet. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
I had a great experience with Dr Denise Ceravalo, until recently. Three months ago my dog, Ruby Slippers, had a series of xrays and the doctor never called to let me know the results. This month when my dog had her xrays, Dr Denise never sent them to the oncologist. Recently, Ruby was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis and Dr. Denise said she couldn’t put her on a certain medicine to treat it because Ruby is on Prozac. Ruby isn’t on Prozac. Dr. Denise said she misspoke, she meant Xanax. And Dr. Denise called in the medication to my pharmacy! I left FOUR messages over the course of a week asking her to call me regarding Ruby’s condition and treatment and she never called. That is unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I have lost faith in Dr. Denise’s ability to take proper medical care of my dog. I will be finding another vet.
