My son and I went there for late breakfast. 5 tables that were seated after us got their food before we did. We waited almost a half hour to get our food. Then I didn't get what I expected, but I wasn't going to make them redo it because I was too hungry and we just wanted to eat and get out. When I went to check out, the lady asked if everything was okay and I said " No, I was pretty disappointed". She said she was sorry but yet didn't ask what was wrong, or wanted to do anything about it? And businesses wonder why they're losing customers.
Nice little mom and Pop restaurant. Friendly host, the servers are great, food is made well, and the prices are not bad at all. While you're there, if you're not too full, try their good old homemade pies they are good, You might take a whole pie with you, lol. It is one of the best places for breakfast food in the city.Food: 4/5
We were a party of five and were seated right away. The food and service was good. I gave the food 4/5 stars only because some of the food was not very hot. I guess you have to expect that with a group. Our server Christine did a great job!Food: 4/5
I ordered a skillet to go and asked for no mushrooms, onions, or peppers. I also specifically asked if they had queso cheese they could add to it and I was told they do not have queso but could put cheese sauce on the side. Drove all the way from Galena for them to screw up the order, not add the cheese sauce, and gave me no receipt so I could make sure I wasn't charged for the sauce I never got. Called to let them know how disappointing it was that they not only messed up the order after driving all the way there and back but that there was no cheese sauce either and I didn't want to be charged for it. The manager claimed they didn't have any cheese sauce and didn't even bother to check if they charged me for it. They also didn't seem to care to make it right when they screwed up and appeared to have brushed it off like it was no big deal. Needless to say that's the last time I'll be going. I haven't been there in years and the first time I go back there was no resolution to a problem they created. Go somewhere else.
Typically, I'd say the average local good breakfast place. My last visit prices were hiked, and the food was not of what I'd say homemade or fresh.Food: 2/5
First of all, we waited for 20 mins as people who walked in were seated and served before us. Waitress took 15 mins to take our drink order once we were seated. I ordered a tea and it tasted like it was strained through a gym sock. My entire groups food came out cold. When delivering my food the waitress touched the butter on my pancakes and said “yuck” and put it down as if I wanted to eat food she touched. As stated before all food was room temp. When expressing concerns to management, it was ignored. Will not be back. Was a regular for years. SAD
Service used to be good, but has slipped. Portions of food fairly small although flavor good.Food: 4/5
Lesley was our waitress. She was amazing. The food was decent. She is the reason i will keep coming back. If shes not there, i walk out and will come back another day. She makes it worth going in. I will be coming back as long as she is there. My cup is never empty when she is my waitress. Thank you lesley! Your service is AMAZING. She deserves a raise!
My mother ate here today, Was treated horrible from the front door. . Got the wrong food. . Never got the right food. . Paid for wrong food and left. .Food: 1/5
