What a treat to have such an authentic Northern Chinese food right here in Tbay. The dishes were made with fresh ingredients and really flavourful!!! Highly recommend the braised pork ribs, szechuan spicy chicken and street stir fried noodles. You must come here, you will not regret!!!!Food: 5/5

I have ordered from Village Market before for their combination dinners, but this time I decided to try one of their authentic Chinese dishes.  I ordered the Sichuan spicy chicken because I was craving some spice. It delivered on the spice and flavour!  I used to teach in China, and spicy chicken was a staple of dinners out with friends. This one was just like I remembered. The only difference is that they use boneless chicken instead of bone in. They also give a lot of chicken. No need to search the peppers to find some.  I will have to try their other dishes when feeling nostalgic for my time spent in China. Until then, I'll keep enjoying their noodles bowls and combo dinners.

I recently ordered takeout from Village Market and I have to say, I was blown away by the experience. Firstly, the portions were huge, which is always a plus in my book. But what really impressed me was the price - it was incredibly reasonable for the amount of food you get.  The staff were friendly and welcoming, even though it was a takeout only place. They were efficient and my food was ready in no time. They even double-checked my order to make sure everything was correct before handing it over to me.  But the real highlight of my meal was the Wok-Fried Chinese Dish. It tasted exactly like the authentic dishes I had while traveling in China. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it to anyone who visits this restaurant.  All in all, I had a fantastic experience with Village Market's takeout service. The food, service, and prices were all top-notch. If you're looking for a great Chinese takeout place that won't break the bank, this is definitely the place to go. I'll definitely be back!

This little place is extremely underrated! I’ve ordered from here dozens of times and it’s always fresh and consistent. They make the best lo mein in town and give a massive portion that feeds me for 3 meals! The chicken balls are always great, same with the fried wonton & soup. Only thing I will say is I order the same thing most of the time so I haven’t tried a big variety of the food and the rice can be really dry some days but still tasty.

Food is inexpensively tasty, first try didnt disappoint us, one of those food stores that deserves support , something we would go back for just hope that they will include condiments spoons/forks/napkin next time. Then ill give a 5!

Ordered the dinner for 4 yesterday.  Chicken balls - WAY too much batter very, doughy; fried rice was lacking flavour and a little undercooked;  Bon Bon's - FANTASTIC the reason for the 2; Egg-roles - greasy; beef & greens, average and lacking flavour.

Huge potions. Taste amazing, I definitely will be coming back again and again! Was still steaming hot when it arrived. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Very neat and welcoming place. They provide large meals and for reasonable prices. We loved the food a lot and front desks were super welcoming and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I’m visiting from Halifax and just had the best wonton soup of my life.  Wow! Delicious Food: 5/5

Couldnt even order pho through the min wage person on the phone. No idea what happened there,  used to be my fave.Food: 1/5
