Beware the RESORT FEE! When I checked in this Hilton property assessed me an additional $57 Resort Fee that I had little choice but to pay and get along to my reason for being in Santa Fe. RESORT?!?! Why because you have a pool table and a fancy coffee machine that moves in slow-mo and gives you half a cup? The room was comfortable, location was good and the staff were friendly but the parking was barely sufficient. I thought I was getting a decent deal but with the additional Resort Fee I could have saved money staying elsewhere. Walkability: I walked to a few destinations, partly because I didn't want to lose a spot in the parking lot.
The rooms are outdated and the kitchen in our 1 bedroom had the dining table blocking the door to the refrigerator, so we had to rearrange the furniture. The bed was comfortable and it was a quiet and comfortable room. We enjoyed the kitchenette. The staff said they were remodeling when we told them of the table blocking the refrigerator. I got the impression that this remodeling is taking a very long time. We enjoyed the hot tub and that we could walk to downtown easily.
My husband and I will never come back to Villas de Santa Fe. It's definitely not worth the cost. There is a pretty poor service. We spent three nights, four days, and there was not a single cleaning service for the room these days. The halls in the second building smell awful maybe because of the old carpets. There was only one bar of soap for the bathroom sink and shower, no shampoo, no conditioner, only an almost fully consumed toilet paper. And besides, you have to check out at TEN AM. If you stay on the second building, which is across the street, there is not a soul to guard the place. If someone leaves the door accidentally opened, the rooms are straight to the street, not nice.
I very much enjoyed our stay. It's not within walking distance to downtown, so we had to take an Uber. When I booked the room, I was asked if I wanted a patio or balcony, and I chose a balcony but got neither. Otherwise, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. If the occasion arises, I will stay here again.
This is such a great option of a place to stay while in Santa Fe. It was more like having an efficiency 1 bedroom apt with amenities than a hotel room. Best kitchenette I have ever had. Well equipt and workable if you want to eat in. The value for the money is here. Bonus, it is a short walk to the plaza. Overall would not hesitate to stay here again.
This was my second stay with Villas de Sante Fe. It is a wonderful place with a kitchenette, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Very clean and quiet. Comfortable bed, kitchen has everything you need for cooking and storing food. The couch and chair were dated and not in the best shape, but we weren't in the room enough for it to matter. It's within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and gas stations. There is a nice deck with chairs for each room. Clean and comfortable establishment.
