I used to come here as I Kid with my dad and my sisters. One of the best memories I have when I was a kid, and I loved every moment of it. Can't believe it's still here and well taken care of. There is a variety of playgrounds here that include slides, Swings, and other fun playgrounds. You can take a nice bike ride, or just hang out and read a good book. They also have workout equipment too for the adults, and lots of picnic tables to enjoy a good lunch or a birthday party.
Brought my 18 month old here and she was like meh. Lol She is very picky with her parks but anyways, I would of loved it here as a kid. You can tell its super old school because of the metal slides. Not the safest playground where the sea creatures are but it's the best for your little ones imagination. Restrooms and vending machine available.
Great place to bring Kids !! This park has Cement/metal Animal slides Animal theme there’s a Light House There are adult fitness zones to work out Fun Walking trail ‍
The park is divided into two areas, with a grassland-based square, amusement facilities, barbecue stoves and party tables and chairs. The other part is a sandy area, on which there are many cartoon image sculptures of undersea animals, on which children can climb to play. There is also a party house with many tables, where gatherings and theme parties are very convenient. There are many places for children to play here, and the children like it very much.
Lovely park with 2 playgrounds, a modern ship themed playground, and a playground designed by Benjamin Dominguez. This park has some of the best examples of his work. They're beautiful pieces and super fun to play on. The modern playground is visible from the parking lot. To find LA Laguna de San Gabriel the playground designed by Benjamin Dominguez, you have to follow a wide, flat dirt path across a bridge look for the octopus on Google maps. There's also fitness equipment. The bathrooms are clean. There are also nice picnic tables and lots of grass.
as a child my family celebrated many occasions here, i love the animal slides & the serpent is amazing!!! recently brought my grandson here for the 1st time, he loved it. although it has changed over the years, the main attraction remains, as if not at all changed in over 40+ years.
A great neighborhood park. Parking is easy with sizable lots. large green grass area for picnic and sports. Plenty of tables for lunch. There is a newer jungle gym for kids and toddlers to play on. The trails here is short and very easy to walk. Overall: Will return here with the fam
The park was very clean. Nice amount of trash cans around. The benches need to be cleaned more often. All in all still a great park to have a party at.
A truly one of a kind park! You may have heard about the many wonderful ceramic sculptures here and may be confused as you pull into the parking lot. Thee is a path just to the right of the baseball field that will bring you right to it! “La Laguna de San Gabriel” or “Monster Park” was created in 1964 and was out on the National Registry of Historic Places in 2017. Benjamin Dominguez made the sculptures at the age of 70, which was his final project. Even despite Covid, it’s fun to visit just to take in the slides even without riding them. There was virtually no one in this section of the park when we were there. A must visit!
Great place to take kids and toddlers. Wish the playground in the back was better maintained. Some graffiti and trash scattered throughout.
