V.I.P. School of Music is open to those that possess a strong passion for music. Students will learn the language of music through Voice, Instrument, and Performance, and will have opportunities to learn how to write their own music and record projects of their works. Whether your child is drawn to music in an extraordinary way from a very young age, or you are an adult wanting to finally get your music happening, V.I.P. is here to give you direction, education, and support in all aspects of what you hope to accomplish musically. At V.I.P. we believe that the fundamentals of music will also help students in their daily lives. Goal setting, overcoming fears, hard work, focus, and PRACTICE. All of which apply to many aspects of life. We encourage not only musical advancement, but personal advancement and mental enlightenment. Music builds confidence, and allows for positive expression and develops finer communication skills. Students who are enrolled at V.I.P. have an enormous desire to fulfill growth musically and personally. V.I.P. does not subscribe to a one size fits all style of teaching, but rather, understands that each individual is unique. Time is taken with each student to determine how they learn best, and teaching methods are adjusted accordingly. Maria Connors is founder of V.I.P., and teaches music in a very personalized and innovative way to all ages. Maria has been teaching music for more than 10 years, and has become a known music educator throughout San Diego.
