Dr. Butchart was highly recommended, so we had high expectations that he could at least begin to unravel my daughter's complex case of chronic fatigue. During the first appointment, he seemed empathetic. However, of all the doctors we have sought for help, he managed to do the most harm in the least amount of time. When my daughter's body reacted very badly to a supplement, his advice was "try again in two days." She couldn't risk another reaction like that. He didn't even follow-up with her to see how she was doing. Just a reminder: ask questions continuously, and trust your own body and instincts as much as you would trust any doctor's "expertise."
Dr. Butchart is a wonderful Naturopath and dedicated practitioner who genuinely cares for the health and well being of his clients. He spent 2 hours in the initial visit listening to my history and symptoms where my other MDs only ever spent 5-10 minutes. Dr. Butchart with his years of experience and diagnostic lab testing documentation figured out I had heavy metal poisoning. We worked together in partnership to develop a plan of healing and recovery of my health. He followed up all my emails and phone calls promptly as I lived a distance away from his office. My follow up care has been outstanding! Today, I am living a vibrant and healthy life and I have great gratitude for the help I received from Dr. Butchart.
You won't find a more caring and empathetic doctor. I felt like he really wanted to find the cause of my issues and cared about how I was suffering. I've been to soooo many doctors, and doctors who actually care and want to figure out the root cause of confusing chronic health symptoms are a rare find. He has a keen scientific mind and doesn't run tests frivolously. He listened to me and was open to pursuing my ideas which is also rare find in a doctor. I felt like it was easy to make appointments and that he was responsive to my e-mail queries in between appointments. I also felt that he was affordably priced. There are a lot of doctors out there who take advantage of chronically ill patients by charging exorbitant amounts to desperate people. He's not one of them. He helped me make decisions about what steps to take with my health that were within the bounds of what I could afford. And most of all, I got results. He found my food allergies which were really impacting my health. Highly recommend!
After the first appointment, I was excited about the possibility of healing some of my conditions. I was told to seek out shamanic healing then come back after that was taken care of. I did this. But, then, when I contacted him again, I never received any follow-up care. This was several years ago. Obviously, my disappointment still lingers.
