Our Intensive English Program helps international students meet their personal, academic, and professional goals through intensive English language study.

We prepare international students for admission to Virginia Tech and other U.S. colleges and universities through rigorous, progressive English language training.

Mission

The Virginia Tech Language and Culture Institute aims to promote intercultural competence and understanding by connecting people across borders and disciplines. We inspire globally minded students, scholars, and professionals through transformative learning, innovative collaborations, and cross-cultural engagement.

We accomplish this mission by:

-- implementing high-quality training, exchange, and leadership programs
-- attracting the best and brightest individuals from around the world to our community
-- developing partnerships with other institutions of higher learning, government agencies, and nongovernmental entities.

Part of Virginia Tech Outreach and International Affairs, the institute has locations at the main Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg and in Northern Virginia..
