Came in to the emergency room on Feb 7 in extreme pain and running a fever. This doesn't sound that bad but since I am currently getting Chemo treatments for breast cancer this can be dangerous. From the minute I got here I was treated with respect and compassion. I want to say thank you so much to Marc my nurse in the Emergency room. He was so understanding of my pain and always made me feel like he really cared. I was then admitted to room 107 where I first meant Victoria at 3 AM. She quickly got me comfortable which allowed me to sleep for the first time in days. At 7:00 AM she turned my care over to Katie, Katie is not only a compassionate nurse but spent time just talking with me about her children and our dogs. I know this doesn't sound like much but when your pain is very bad and you just found out you have to stay a few days this distraction is a gift. Katie's children are lucky to have a mom like her. Thanks to everyone a Virtual for going above and beyond for the people you are trusted to care for everyday.!
What an amazing experience from the moment I checked in until I was discharged! If you are nervous about giving birth, knowing you will be at this hospital will allow you to feel relieved. Their team is amazing. Maria was an angel in the delivery room. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive… exactly what I needed while trying to get through the pain of going natural. All the nurses were amazing in the maternity ward and didn’t disturb us while trying to rest & recover. Also the food selections were pretty good…
I had the most wonderful experience with the L&D team and the Mother Baby team - it was everything I hoped it would be. Everyone was so incredibly compassionate, understanding and ready to help in any way they could. My nurse Denise was so patient and supportive throughout the entire process. Her kindness meant the world to me as a first-time mom who really did not know what to expect. Denise and my anesthesiologist who was also an amazing provider - I wish I remembered her name! both made sure I was comfortable as possible, answered my endless questions and addressed every problem I had. Also, the rooms were very spacious and beautiful - I did NOT expect that at all : I cannot thank the incredible people at Virtua!
The professional attention to details and the nursing and support staff are very attentive, friendly and at the same time efficient. During the last 60 days I have spent 9 days in Virtua Hospital care for related but different issues. Removal of kidney stones. Assessment, analysis of invasion of blood by an aggressive, negative cell.
After an episode at home, I was admitted into the ER for observations and diagnostic tests. The staff in the ER was pleasant and professional and they allowed my husband to stay with me which was comforting to both him and myself. Each staff member clearly explained who they were and what they were going to do. Unfortunately they had to admit me into the hospital for more observations. My stay in the hospital was made as comfortable as possible because all the rooms are private single occupancy. The staff members nurse’s, doctors, techs, housekeepers were wonderful. They all addressed me by name, and were pleasant, professional, and caring. The discharge process was quick and easy.
Feeling thankful . I took my 86 year old mother to the emergency room. Treating her condition required a seven day inpatient stay. Throughout this journey I’ve found the staff in the ER and B5 inpatient building B, floor 5 to be more than outstanding. The attentiveness and quick response every time we felt the need to press the call button was a sure pleasant experience. Th facilities were also great. In summary I actually felt that the Doctors and nurses treated my mom as if she were family. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
My wife delivered our first baby here, and it was the best hospital experience we've ever had. The hospital accommodated our special requests. The nurses were very friendly and professional. They taught my wife a lot of useful new-parent knowledge, such as how to breastfeed, how to burp the baby, etc. We really appreciated the support we received during the two-and-a-half days we were there, and we're glad we had the delivery in the hospital instead of the birth center which was our original plan. At this hospital, mother and father "room in" with the baby after delivery--the baby stays in your private room and all the staff doctors, nurses, etc come to you. We loved this system--it makes you feel like a VIP and you don't have the worry/stress of having your newborn taken out of your sight. Also, the hospital food is delicious. I would call it restaurant quality. To sum it up, the hospital did everything right and we have no complaints/criticisms at all.
My husband was in the Health and Wellness Center for his 2nd hip replacement. They couldn't do enough for him. From the time you enter those doors until the day he left. What a wonderful experience. I loved how they kept you notified of each step they were taking by texting me. That was really cool. He had Dr.Jain for surgery and he's the BEST. A shout out to the nurses on the 4th floor. especially Stephanie and Bell for you kindness and care. There was also Darlene in the Pre-OP. And so many others that assised in my well being. Thank you to all.
From L&D to Mother Baby, I had the best experience! The nurses were all so friendly and supportive! I had Gina and Ashley in Labor & Delivery, I felt so informed and advocated for every step of the way! Once I got to Mother Baby, I felt like everyone was here to make sure our stay was comfortable. Karen goes out of her way to make me feel reassured about my questions!
All the doctors, nurses and caregivers I have met at this facility have been very caring, understanding and compassionate for my well being. All questions are answered in detail, and the doctors spend one to one time with the patient rather than the computer. The nurses take special care to make you feel at ease and comfortable with any procedure one is scheduled for. The facility is located among beautiful trees and has been decorated with state of art facilities…..so as a cancer patient that contributes a lot to my mental state . Thank you Virtua Voorhees !
