Established in 1977, a family owned and operated ski shop at Gondola One. VBSR offers ski equipment rentals, ski repair, and storage for all equipment.

The Gros family — Joël, Jane, Sacha and Dominique — have lived the ski life for over 40 years and are proud of their Vail CO ski heritage. We are the Skier’s Ski Shop. Our location next to Vail Ski School & Gondola One at Vail Mountain means you can ski right to our door! Our knowledgeable and friendly staff provides the highest level of customer service. We not only offer the highest quality ski demos & rentals, but we provide quick repairs, ski tuning and advice about boots and gear right on the spot. Services include overnight precision tuning of your skis and and lots of ski storage including full ski lockers, baskets and coin-operated lockers."

Reliable and quick storage right by the gondola. Cute dogs in the shop. Usually watching premier league on the tv and they pulled up a bench to let us watch. Also, they sell German clogs that deserve their own 5 star rating. Really friendly folks.

Incredibly friendly, fair and organized.  I stored my equipment for $8 per day.  That's gold in the village of Vail.  The equipment for sale and for rent is well priced as well.

Best place in Vail for all your ski needs! Tunes… Rentals… Storage  Been coming here for decades, highly recommend. Much better pricing & especially SERVICE & Vibes than other locations i.e. Christys.

Just returned from a ski trip to Vail and I would like a give a warm heartfelt shout out to Vistabahn Ski Rentals!!!  Best proximity to Gondola 1...CHECK!  Totally amazing staff that makes you feel welcome, taken care of, and valued.....CHECK!  Made changing demo skis effortless...CHECK!  Stored personal boots overnight for a fair fee to keep from lugging boots around....CHECK!  Offers a bin for in and out access throughout the day so I was able to drop off shoes and shed layers of clothing as needed effortlessly for a fair price....CHECK!!!  Of all the years skiing I have never experienced such a top notch shop with top notch people delivering top notch service!!!   THANK YOU VISTABAHN FAMILY!!!  Much love from Malibu!!!

My skis are 12 years old, and I am pretty sure after one of their tunes that the edge has never been that good after several other tunes.  You can clearly tell they use high quality equipment and that the shop and their employees live and breathe skiing.  The ski technician even taught me something about my skis I never knew about the topsheet and I know my skis well.  Would highly recommend.  If I didnt live far away, id bring my skis there every time.

Vista Bahn Ski Rentals is a great ski shop. They preform a great ski tune, have storage and super selection of rentals. The owners and employees are super!

Great location in Vail Village.   Equipment was in good shape.  Staff was very easy to work with; no problems or complaints when changing out boots and skis. Checkout and return was fast.  Only minor knocks: 1 Traversing stairs to get in/out.  2 Overnight storage was just leaving in the hall, which made things a bit cluttered and difficult to locate when multiple sets of equipment had same labeling.

You won't find a more knowledgeable staff than Vistabahn Ski Rentals staff. Steps away from Gondola One in Vail Village. Great place to stash your equipment overnight. Barclay Rabin did a full tune on my ski's and they grip and rip like brand new!.....better than brand new! Best tune you can get in this town bar none. Great place for beginners and experts alike.

You can't beat this location; it is steps away from Gondola One, and overnight storage is included with rental. You can wear your regular shoes and leave your boots on a dryer overnight- no clunking around town in wet ski boots after skiing all day. They allow you to switch boots and skis day-to-day depending on conditions, which is great if you are looking to buy; the employees were really helpful getting me set up and seemed truly passionate about sharing their knowledge- they also applied some of my demo costs toward my new skis. This is a great little family-owned shop, a rare gem in Vail!

Convenient location, but the initial fitting of the skis we rented was a little disappointing. My husband was given skis far too short his private instructor told him he needed to switch them out after seeing him on him, and I was initially fitted in boots that were far too small and was given attitude when I asked for a larger size.  That being said, all problems were fixed easily, and most of the people we dealt with in the shop were were incredibly friendly and kind with only one exception.
