This is a nice Italian restaurant in Santa Monica by the business park. The atmosphere is old school and cozy and they have a nice outdoor area too. The food is really good and there are a good variety of dishes. I had the zuppa di pesce which was delicious - a must try! The service was great quick and prompt. And don't forget to have the bread! So definitely a great place to visit!
Vito strikes again!! I've been to both Mother Wolf and Felix in the past month, and can confidently say that Vito has BETTER pasta than both these places! I didn't even know it was possible to make gnocchi with as light and pillowy a texture as Vito does, and the pesto sauce is the creamiest and most delectable that's ever graced these tastebuds. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and fits right in with the cozy Italian atmosphere though it can get a little loud in the main dining room. Vito himself also assured me that the entire menu is keto and gluten friendly-- I don't know how they do it! Anyone looking for a 5 star classic Italian meal must come here.
A reliably good restaurant. It’s a little like going back in time. Waiters in black suits, dining booths, desert carts, Caesar salads made at your table, and more. The food is very good but not cutting edge. The service is spectacular. We go there often.
Truly a joke of a restaurant. All smoke and mirrors with a classic Italian American look and feel upon entrance, which quickly shatters with the first food/drink item that comes to your table. “Ceasar salad” with stale store bought croutons from Ralph’s. Gnocchi covered in melted shredded mozzarella? A bartender who doesn’t know the difference between gin and vodka OR a waiter who thinks he was messing with us in his own little way. Don’t know, don’t care, won’t be back. You’re better off spending your money at Blossom next door.
Highly recommended. No hipster vibe but a classy local establishment. I had no idea about this hidden gem. Great service , full bar, perfectly spaced seating They do not have a kid menu but they were able to make a small butter pasta dish for my young one We will be back for sure! #eatLocal #supportSmallBusiness
We recently visited this place for my Daughters birthday, we immediately noticed quality of service provided is based on your color of skin. Even for birthday celebration they only put one candle on the Dessert cake we ordered, and other tables who were celebrating Birthdays three team members will join singing happy birthday. btw Online menu prices are not updated, real prices are 20-25% higher, food quality is OK, portions are small. We will never visit this place again.
Well, i have nothing to say about the food. Good food, maybe good quality but for sure poor portion! I never expected to pay 12$ plus tax for eat 7 mussels when I ordered Zuppa do Cozze! Look ridiculous to me!
This was the first restaurant we came to when restaurants were able to reopen in LA and have guests indoors before the rules changed. We sat inside and felt very safe. The waiter went over all of the safety precautions they were taking and how they installed special UV lights to kill bacteria etc. Everyone was spaced out and all workers wore a mask as well as a face shield. Our service was amazing. The waiter we had was very attentive and gave us some great wine recommendations. To start, we had the Mozzarella Marinara and Scampi A La Griglia. Mozzarella Marinara was amazing!! It is whole milk cheese that is deep friend and served with marinara sauce on top. A new version of mozzarella sticks that was so delicious. The Scampi was incredible. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. For mains, we ordered the Fettuccine Al Salmone and a Rigatoni dish I couldn't remember the name of. The rigatoni was great, but the fettuccine with salmon was very heavy and the fish did not taste fresh. I would not order again. For dessert, we chose 2 desserts off of their dessert cart. The chocolate cake that we got was amazing! Definitely our favorite of the 2 we tried. Hopefully we will be back again. I want to try the shrimp scampi pasta since the appetizer was so amazing! This is great place for quality food and amazing service.
I often like really authentic Italian over tradition. With that said this is such a cute neighborhood place that it is worth a little drive for me to come to this relaxed but classic atmosphere. Tried several of the pastas. All winners including the much raved about meatballs.
Beautiful outdoor seatings in a nice neighborhood. Classic and lovely. We ordered a cioppino, lamp stew with lasagna and a flourless Choco cake. The pasta was so good, while cioppino will be perfect if there were h some fish there were a little too many mussels-not portionately We also ordered an espresso shot
