Directorship
The cafe is under the ownership of two Directors on 50/50 shareholding basis. They are John M Njuguna (Hotelier by profession) and Graeme J Thomson(Businessman).
J Njuguna is actively involved in day to day running of the restaurant having had extensive experience as a career Chef for over 15 years and General Manager/Operations Director for Nairobi Java House for six years.
OPERATIONS
Vogue Café is located at Nivina towers along Westland’s Road, Nairobi. The restaurant occupies approximately 2400 sqft with a sitting capacity of 150 with an extended outdoor sitting space.

Operating Hours
The restaurant is open from 0700hrs – 2000hrs for breakfast, lunch and dinner, six days a week. Operating hours may be extended to accommodate occasional customer demands.
Menu
The menu has a wide variety on offer to cater for a wide client base. The menu pricing is modest for affordability. An all round restaurant menu is attached for your perusal.
Staffing
Operations are managed through the leadership of Directors, care of the Manager in charge. A head chef runs the kitchen and there are counter/bar captain, cashier, servers, cleaners, cooks, baristas and a controller as the supporting staff. Staff are well trained to fit into the various roles required to offer the best quick, quality and friendly service to the customers. Staff are trained on a regular basis to enhance performance and delivery as well as ensure that they are up to date with industry trends, techniques and customer needs.

Equipment
The restaurant is well equipped with modern and commercial equipment to cater for over 500 customers daily. Professional equipment is used at every level as this will reflect on standards of the company.Our staff members are also well trained to meet customer demands and expectations.
Hygiene
Hygiene is crucial and is greatly emphasized as a fundamental requirement. It is for this reason that proper hygiene practices are implemented. Our staff are regularly trained on proper hygiene practices and correct use of detergents and chemicals. Our “Clean as you go motto” has been instilled as part of the staff’s working culture. Staff’s personal hygiene is uncompromised and of high standards. Regular fumigation and strip cleaning is accorded due attention.
Procurement
All raw materials are sourced from reputable and vetted sources complying with acceptable standards. Mechanisms have been put in place to detect and reject substandard products. Daily fresh orders are placed to ensure quality of freshness.
Waste Management
Sorting of waste is done to conform to waste management procedures as provided. Utmost care is taken to ensure proper handling and to avoid pest infestation.
Security
Restaurant staff are trained to be vigilant and on how to identify suspicious characters that may have ulterior motives. Consultations with the property security personnel are held on a regular basis to ensure high security standards are achieved.
