I asked for help at the help area after trying to use store credit with a cashier but was met with employees who seemed too busy to help me use the app. While I was trying to find my credit on the app without their help, the employee walked away to talk with another employee. I ended up paying out of pocket for something that could've have been covered by my store credit. I don't mind paying but the lack of help I received from the employees who could have taken 5 minutes out of their day is what upsets me.
Store was nice, clean and organized. Found what I came for but checking out the cashier was was totally bizarre. Comments about my coupons, the products the coupons were for. Then overcharged then refunded. At home we found out one of the cheeses we bought was moldy.
This commentary is for Starbucks. To the rude young lady working Starbucks this morning October 8th at 8:00 am. I did not appreciate you dropping my change on the counter. I had my hand out and you just dropped it on the counter. You need to work on your people skills. UPDATE: this morning 8:20 am 10-15-22 same young lady same issue. I want management to know the rudeness is unacceptable. No eye contact, no receipt and change laid on the counter again while my hand was out. I think I need to pay in loose pennies and drop them on her counter. Let me know what you think
Pretty typical store however I was extremely frustrated at the manipulative use of yellow labels. What they seemed to start doing is putting certain things on sale and then using yellow price labels for other, normally priced items nearby so you are tricked into putting it in your cart. They probably hope you don't notice or don't care enough to raise a fuss. Terrible business practice. I suggest going to nearby Amazon Fresh or Trader Joe's.
Very much like other Vons around Southern California. The bakery is very good. I love the oatmeal cookies, but every time I go there Is only a few left. The employees that I spoke with were very nice.
Huge selection on higher end food. Great bakery with a large selection of various types of bread..sea food se; section on point.
Great store and Selection Love that there is a Starbucks inside too.
Grew up with a vons as the closest market and our families choice for grocers. Now they are not easy to find and wow are the prices high. I can't see myself shopping here if I have an alternative.
I’m a Whittier native and this supermarket is closest to my home but sadly the customer service is just meh. I shop this store only when absolutely necessary. I had the rudest bagger last week. Sad. A few neighbors don’t bother with Von’s; they love Albertsons on beach and Whittier blvd. That is my favie as well.
Went in to the Starbucks there because it is faster than going to a drive thru one around lunch time.
