Vons is a nice small store and not busy. The staff after Haggan's changed and not nearly as personalized as the original Vons. A couple of the checkers are not very friendly and they act as though they don't like their jobs. The pharmacy staff here is wonderful and remember our names. They always have a smile for us. The store is clean and parking lot well taken care of.
Their bakery has really fallen apart over the past few weeks. We've noticed that the fresh bakery items, such as cake slices, are simply not being stocked anymore, just empty refrigerated cases instead. So when we asked about it last week, we were told to call a day ahead and order what we wanted. So I called in yesterday and spoke to Deanna in the bakery who said she would have two specific cake slices ready at 10am today as a special order. She even took my name so she could set them aside for me. When we came in today at 11:30am, the slices were nowhere to be found, Deanna wasn't there, and the bakery staff had no idea what to do and didn't seem to care anyway. The woman who helped us said, "I don't know why she told you she would have those ready today," and I said, "Because it was a special order." Blank stare, shoulder shrug. So we went to check out with the rest of our groceries, and it happened to be the Store Director at the register, so I told him what happened. He didn't seem to be bothered about the poor bakery stock to begin with, or even that our special order wasn't ready. Just a "sorry" as he moved on to the next customer in line. Didn't offer any remedy, or to take my number and call me to talk about it when he was less busy...just nothing. This was the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. Very sad. I guess we'll try another Vons or even a competitor next time.
Vons has always been a little pricier than some other grocery stores. But the meat department can't be beat for its quality. The cashiers are always friendly and very fast on checkout. Love this store!!!!
As always I found every item I needed. Von's has its shelves well stocked. Their produce department is very appealing and fresh. Friendly and helpful check out and all other employees render a comfortable experience for shoppers.
Suzanne in the bakery is absolutely wonderful! She makes beautiful cakes. Vons even allows you to upload pictures of cakes you like and Suzanne can replicate or even make better! I have ordered 5 cakes and the most I've paid is $42 for a two tier classy cake for my 17 year olds. She is AMAZING! My go to! You won't regret taking a chance at Vons!
It's a vons, nothing wrong with it. One employee gave me a dragon fruit that was half cut up so that was nice. Nice employees, and good place to get food, just there is normally some sketchy people hanging outside the vons, but besides that, it's good.
I went in to buy dessert. I had two boxes of candy for buy one get one. I didn't have a Vons card and was told not to worry about it. Super friendly service.
We've always liked Von's, especially their "$5 Friday" Promotions. The "Whole Fried Chicken" for $5 is especially tough to beat, and in our opinion, is some of the best tasting around. Love that the bakery usually has a solid variety of freshly baked goodies, including jalapeno cheese rolls my favorite, and French baguettes.
Always an awesome shoping experience! Clean, well organized, fresh produce and all my fave brands. Love the great customer service and that I know I will find everything I need and want in one store, Vons!
Very clean store but waaaaay overpriced. Go an extra mile to Winco & get 3X the groceries for the same price. Besides the lunchmeat and cheese I got from the deli was slimy & smelly in less than a week. Ugh, gross & a waste of hard-earmed $...
