A death came out of nowhere and they worked with me. I had a few bumps in my payment plan and they were really understanding. These are truly nice people.
We have had 4 of our family members at w t wilson funeral home. They were very compassionate all ways asking if their was anything we needed. Everyone was very nice. We buried my father in may .i did not get to have the funeral i would have like to have had, we were restricted how many could be there because of covid 19. But they had guidelines to go by. Which was not there fault. We will continue to use them. We have been very pleased. the Harvey, Holcomb family.
Very unhappy with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. My mother passed on May 28, 2021. They finally got her death certificate on June 17th. I had called and they said they would mail it to me. I am her daughter and live out of state. I waited almost 2 weeks and still didn't receive them. I called to find out why it was taking so long. Had to leave a message for someone to call me who was handing it. Did not get a call back so I called back later that day and Chris told me that they had not yet been mailed. His excuse was that they could not be sent to me without getting permission from the person who paid for the funeral. He just spoke with them now so he could put them in the mail tomorrow. Why didn't he call me when they knew there was a problem and they couldn't be mailed? Their customer service is truly lacking. Chris didn't even apologize. Just said there was nothing he could do. Very unprofessional service. Not once did they ever call me to update on things. I had to call every time. Gale Wright

My mother passed away and was positive for COVID. It was close to midnight and my family has used W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in the past so that is who I told the hospital to call. That next day the funeral home called me to let me know that because she was COVID positive they would not open the bag and we would have to do a closed casket service. I couldn't even pick out a dress for her, they would not put it on her or embalm her. That was very upsetting to me and I wish I knew that ahead of time. I used a different funeral home who did a traditional service but by the time the Burt Funeral home had gotten her, her body was already stiff and they could not fix her mouth properly. My mother had dentures but NEVER let anyone see her without her teeth. Because W.T. would not provide the usual services and it was too late for Burt's to fix her mouth, the whole family/friends viewed her and she did not look like herself. If W.T would have worn a mask and gloves the risk is VERY minimal. I am very upset things happened this way. Do they decline traditional services for HIV positive people as well? In that service they will be exposed to things but if appropriate precautions are taken, the risk is minimal. Does not really seem fair to me.
The funeral home was nice and clean. My aunt was presented very well on 07- 27- 22. Thank yall
Beyond happy with the customer service of Wilson Funeral Chapel. I used them to purchase a headstone for my mother. They were very nice, helpful, and friendly. The Covid slowed down production time, but they kept me up to date with every step. Chris contacted me and within 1 hour, the stone was placed. I HIGHLY recommend WIlson to anyone!!
My morther's services were held here yesterday, we were shocked at their lack of professionalism and compassion displayed by this Funeral Home - rushing us out of the visitation and chapel, telling us they scheduled another service right behind my mothers. In our view, they overbooked their services and the families are the ones who paid the price for their obvious greed to make as much money as possible. My parents have had their arrangements with this funeral home for a very long time, all pre-paid. Their equipment is outdated, we had to use our bluetooth speaker and cell phones for the music during visitation, they could not get the photo slideshow bured to a CD - I had a flasdrive prepared for them but they could not use it because of their old computer deveices. In addition to all of this, when we were leaving the chapel they were loading the flowers arrangements into their vehile to trasport to the grave side, and we noticed they were taking the vase arrangements also, I requested those to stay at the funeral home and told them we would come right back to the funeral home and pick them up. They told us they could not keep them for us, because they didnt want to get them mixed up - my mothers name was on each of her arrangements, so this excuse was just more evidence that they were pushing us out. And if this isnt enough, when we got to the cemetary they had a trailer with the dirt for burial right behind my mothers casket not covered and tilted towards her casket. we specfially ask then to wait to do the actual burial until we were away from the cemetary- mostly for my dad so he wouldnt have to see this. Instead, they started doing it all before we could even get him to his vehicle. This was the most rude, disrespectul and disappointing funeral home we have ever seen. If you are in a prearranged agreement with them these are things you should check into before having services for your loved ones otherwise you will not have a fond memory of your loved one's service. If I could rate them lower than 1star I certianly would. WT Wilson with the cost related to funerals I would think you could update your facility, and given the number of years you have been in business you should know how to give familes respect and compassion.
Wonderful, caring Gentleman with big . They will walk you threw every step. And give you plenty of time to pick what you want.
Amazing people ,very professional,and so caring .definitely treated like family... Our family has used WT Wilson for over 20 years ,and have been very happy ..I give WT Wilson Funeral Home 5 stars,and our family will continue to use them .
