The WACO Air Museum was established at its present location in 1997. Two hangers are dedicated to the history of the WACO Factory and the employees who made it great. The visitor can take an audio tour to learn about the #1 airplane manufacturer in the 20's and 30's.
The WACO Historical Society has a dual purpose: Preservation of History of the WACO Aircraft Company and the Golden Age of Flight; and the education of young people in the area of math, science, technology and history, using aviation themes as a means toward enhancing student enthusiasm and response to traditional classroom curriculum.
Admission is $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for Military, $3.00 for students aged 7-17, children under the age of 6 and WACO Historical Society members are admitted free. Special tours are available upon request. Group tours are welcomed.
