Food Share: 3-5 days worth of groceries, called a Food Package, containing nonperishable items, frozen meat, dairy and produce, and toiletries. Available monthly.

Senior Share: Our normal food package delivered monthly to low-income senior citizens in ten La Crosse County senior meal sites.

Food Fair: Typically the 4th Saturday each month (unless it falls on a holiday weekend), Channel One Foodbank brings two truckloads of food. Held outside on the street during the warmer months and in a warehouse behind our building during the colder months, families walk through a line to receive an additional food package for the month. great resource, kind & friendly people. very helpful...
The people at Wafer are so freaking fantastic! they always go above and beyond taking care of me and my neighbors! They always have a kind word and a treat ready for my dog!
The staff here is amazing! They've never made us feel like they were better than us. My family has visited a few times when money has been low. You are allowed to "shop" with a volunteer for the items your family needs. From breads and pastries to dairy and produce, this site has it all! A huge thanks to the staff and volunteers that make all of this possible!
Nice people working there .some of the food I got was molding and spoiled found what I could eat gave away what I could not eat do to allergies .got few things to help me out on tuff times of food gouging.its tuff when you have to pick Bills and food .I'm one of those who pays bills and don't eat much .Thank you for this help
volunteers are pretty nice, but milk is not a good idea to get here. canned and dry goods are a safe bet. fresh vegetables and bread and milk are usually spoiled or a day away from spoiling. but the canned food always has some decent choices
The volunteers didn't seem to go out of their way to be friendly. But I was thankful for the food I was given and appreciate the effort of the community to keep the food pantry going.
I'm saddened that I have to give a low score due to the reason their here. I have been on both ends for this place. I've had to get food here and I've volunteered here. The food is the out dated items that stores cant sell, basically it's like water is the trash can and the people that come in are the dumpster eaters. It feels like our safety isn't as important health wise. Families come through for a hope of something in their tummies but the produce has mold or is squishy like lettuce and the community is expected to eat it or go hungry. Now as a volunteer, I've seen the good they do and the hard work to prep the place before it opens. However I had a girl come through admitting that she worked there and when nice foods and toiletries came through, like sometimes Victoria secret perfume, that ALL STAFF would take it and hide it in the back for themselves and take it home. The manager that ran the place was VERY rude to me and tried to get me in trouble with my instructor since I was doing this for my program. I was extremely disappointed in how she handled it and the information I learned that staff would take nice foods and items for themselves instead of letting the people who cant normally afford to buy it can enjoy it for once. I really hope things change there because the community needs these places.
Can't get help if you don't have access to a vehicle. Haven't been able to get food for the last 2 months and have only gotten to eat every other day when I'm lucky.
Very helpful nice people
I am so very grateful for this place. It has saved my life. Without it I would have starved for sure. They are wonderful crew of people and have worked very well with others thru the Pandemic. Thank you
