My daughter and I stopped in here after a concert in downtown KC. It was about midnight and we had a nearly three hour trip north back to central Iowa. Now, unfortunately there are no Waffle House's in Iowa. You can actually chalk that up to the State's goofy franchise laws. Same reason there are no Jack In The Box, or White Castle offerings, either. Anyway, they weren't busy when we came in, so we got in and out fairly quickly. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the place was very clean, as were the restrooms. The guy running the grill was really cool and we joked around for a minute while I was paying the bill. You guys keep doing what you're doing, and thanks for a memorable visit!
Conveniently located. Not very busy at 8am. Decent service, but not great. Bathrooms need attention. But the food was good and fast, and consistent for Waffle House.
As a person with disabilities I would appreciate it if you would not allow non disabled person park in the handicap when the lot is empty. Once in the dump I addressed this issue was completely ignored. Ask for a wet Towle to clean the nasty syrup covered table and was given a dry dirty towel as the server walked away and proceeded to serve everyone else in the establishment including those that arrived sometime after myself. This is the nastiest dirtiest place in the north land and the health department really needs to pay them a visit. Found roaches in the sugar and the whole kitchen looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in years. The entire staff needs fired to include management for allowing this and the owner fined. Only gave a star to write a review. NO STARS ACTUALLY GIVEN...... Features: There is absolutely zero safety practices
For some reason I never think of going to Waffle House for breakfast but I recently moved and this one on Antioch was near me. There were 6 people working on a Saturday morning at 1030. It was fast and really good. Hashbrowns were diner perfect. They did not have peanut butter for the waffles but had peanut butter chips which were awesome on it! Waitress was nice and attentive. The inside was cleaner than most fast food restaurants. They also had raisin toast which was a great option. This location is doing a great job!
When we arrived the younger guy was very nice and began taking our order. Then a middle aged man named Anthony stepped in front of him and took over and asked us what we wanted very rudely. When we asked for 3 coffees he said wow 3 coffees, I don't think we have coffee, only tea right now. We thought he was joking but no, he was rude to us the entire time while taking our 60$ order. The young man was very professional and began cooking our food while we had to ask for sugar, creamer and a spoon for our coffee, irritating Anthony again for such a simple request. My wife said you don't have to be rude, we just need a spoon. He handed us a spoon finally with a dirty, blank look. I said thank you and he Anthony didn't say a word. I felt uncomfortable but kept quiet and he appeared to bite his lip. Later as we received our food he was trying to be polite while awaiting his tip but it was too late by then. We've been to this location several times and always had a great experience, but this experience this time was a bad one and we didn't appreciate being treated rudely as we're paying and polite returning customers. There was hardly anyone else in the restaurant so he couldn't have been very stressed for having been so busy. Having given a small yet undeserved tip, we left with our to go order and said thanks. As we returned home and ate our food, my wife and I both found a hair in our hash browns... we have always love waffle house and always go there for our anniversary but after being treated rude and this very regrettable experience we aren't planning to return to this location again. We felt bad for the young man because he was doing a good job and we wished our interaction could've been only with him. I was not given a receipt but I thought it strange when I saw our order was exactly 60$ even.
I am always amazed when i come in this Waffle house. Usually there is food everywhere in the kitchen area at other Waffle houses. Especially the Lenexa location. This location is always immaculate. The cooks are always cleaning as they are moving. The waitstaff is always polite and greets you as you walk in the door. I really like coming here. Give it a try if you are in the area.
Omg one of the best non fight club waffle house I have ever experienced. My coffee never went under 3/4 full. The cook was on point. This one checks all the boxes. They even let us know about a secret menu item! So don't sleep on this location and ask for the "MOM special!!!Food: 5/5
I visited a Waffle House of Kansas City. The atmosphere & vibe here instantly made me feel comfortable and open. Great food and great cook along with an outgoing smiley server made for a pleasant mornings visit. Thanks for making my more droopy mornings much more happy. The food is the best and staff are most blessings.Food: 5/5

Well done hash browns should be well done..... not so it twice the same way with no changes to the process. Waitress was cool.... the cooks not so much
