My husband and I just finished eating here for the first time. YUM!!! I got JPs Benedict and he got the Latin Stack. We also each got a cappuccino. The food was delicious and we loved the Argentine & Spain influences throughout the menu. We will definitely be coming back!Food: 5/5
It’s a small place, so the dining room is cozy, but there’s also outdoor tables. The menu is vast, with something for everyone. Prices are quite reasonable for the portions and quality. I ordered the Wiff-Wich: two eggs, cheese, and either sausage ir bacon between two Belgian waffles. It. Was. Amazeballs. The perfect mix of sweet and savory. Definitely recommend.
Nice atmosphere. Large menu. Good prices. We ordered the Irish Benedict and The Roger. The Benedict was a strange combination of flavors but good; the corned beef hash is house made. Though I thought the hollandaise sauce was a bit mustardy tasting. The bagel was good with nice thin sliced, layered meat.
Absolutely amazing food! I have been looking for eggs with bacon, spinach, and blue cheese for literally 6 years since I used to eat what was called a frenchy skillet at a place in Chicago. The fact of the matter is they have that and more at Wake up Cafe! The cafe con leche was awesome alongside the Amazing pancakes. So many great options to choose from! The wait was a bit long and at first with it being busy our server forgot about our coffees… but she apologized and rectified the situation. Great Experience!
The stars are based on the following. I visited the Causeway North location based on reviews. My First visit. When I walked in the two young ladies were having a personal conversation, they saw me but didn’t greet so I greeted them and asked if it was self seating. I was the first to arrive followed by one other customer so not busy. The two servers continued their personal conversations using foul language throughout my stay. Server came to take my order, delivered the meal, the bill, took the payment but I had to asked if she wouldn’t mind removing the empty dishes. She Offered no coffee refill, nor asked how the meal was or if I needed anything else. I ordered the avocado toast which came really fast. The eggs were placed on cold avocado spread which made the eggs cold and the bread was soggy. Pricey for the product and the quality. I will try the other location and a different dish.
Our first visit and we were happy. Servers were very friendly and kept on top of things throughout our visit. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Prices are on part with most places and you get plenty of food. My omelet was stuffed and cooked to perfection. We decided to eat outside, as it was a beautiful morning. They have limited room out there and while we were originally the only ones outside, the remaining tables filled up right as our food came out. Tables are close out there, so it gets a little noisy.
We usually go to the other location, but we thought we'd give this one a try. It has a more traditional diner feel, which is not a bad thing. As always, the food was fantastic. The service was a bit slow, but still very good. I had the Spanish Skillet which was great!
Great brunch place with a small-town-diner feel. The high standard of quality for food/service that's becoming rare post-pandemic was a unexpected treat. I had a perfect chicken and waffle pictured hot honey on the side and the cafe con leche. The waitress was attentive, helpful and versed with the menu.
Got here around 830 am on a Sunday morning, no wait. Service was prompt and friendly. My chorizo skillet was big and flavorful, with the eggs, peppers, and potatoes balanced perfectly. Son tore through his chocolate chip waffle, and daughter loved her French toast. Coffee was good also. We all left pleasantly stuffed and stayed that way well past lunch.
My first 2 visits were great. Today however, was far from that. My friend sent his back, cold and undercooked. My eggs were also under cooked, as were the potatoes. Coffee refills were slow and had to ask multiple times for a refill. Stirred my coffee with a knife, no spoon provided. We were the only customers at the time, and with that, I question why our food was brought to us under cooked and cold. Very disappointing..... Wont be back! Disappointing food · Slow service · Terrible delivery service
