Even tho I am totally a girl who "favors" spring &summer...bc everything turns green again, FLOWERS BLOOM...birds come bk from the south, sing and have babies! Everything is colorful&spectacular! Hence, my #1 FAVORITE Walmart items are when they get in ALL the beautiful REAL LIVE FLOWERS, plants,&shrubs in for the season. I attached some pics from this past summer. They're absolutely gorgeous! The Greenhouse who grows them really does an impeccable job. I NEVER had accidentally brought home those tiny bugs you do tend to bring home in some outdoor plants unfortunately. They're always bug free &always watered. I did find out that they send Greenhouse reps and or vendors not sure the verbiage to use to ensure almost all plants do get their rotation of water&sun. Which is awesome that Walmart can work that closely with the actual growers to do so. The one thing I can &have to address with Walmart as a company, is how their prices went up SO MUCH, that they are now more expensive than GE. I thought I'd never say that or see that. I know inflation is worldwide, but least target, GE,&some other retailers offer either better coupons or dont skimp on the product itself and hope nobody notices. For example: having their brand of paper goods, "great value", the same price as the brand name, or some are even more money by like 3cents?!? Or they'll be the same price before the inflation happened so the customer ASSUMES nothing changed &then u open the package up and there are 2 less than the original package...but it'll have the exact same price point. Coffee creamer, paper goods, and a few other items are definitely less at GE and DG. Plus GE does the entire fuel perk &DG has their app now with their own coupons to even lower their prices per item more when it already started out less at DG for the same exact item as GE but u can use the app coupon plus a vendor coupon I'm PRETTY SURE. That I'd double ck on. So shop around if Walmart isn't that close to u to begin with. It may pay off...on and don't even get me started on Walmarts prices on clothing &shoes. U can go to Ross, TJ Max, or Marshall's &get designer items for under $30 /$40 usually depending on what it is. So why in the heck would u spend $30 on "terra sky" Walmart jeans...when I got 4 pair of Calvin Klein full length Jean's at Ross for about $19.99-$24.99 a pair?!? But in the spring go to any Walmart for those gorgeous flowers!!! You will not be disappointed!
Curbside delivery is awesome. Sometimes there's a wait, but that's due to the store not having enough staff. The staff are really nice and helpful. Obviously great prices. Gets hectic on weekends and holidays but early to mid morning it's totally manageable lol
This place is truly crazy. It's one of the new style of Walmart that is truly enormous and has produce, deli, bakery, etc. The deli is a bit small, but the bakery is huge and the produce area has every common item. Frozen section is big too, and it's set up to actually be navigable looking at you giant eagle and for the ability to find specific products with ease.
I'm not going to lie and say this place can stand out from any other Wally world. But the produce seems well taken care of and fresh. The employees are mostly good with customer care and beong professional as you could ask them to be. Bonus the bathrooms are usually good way better than most. So if your looking to buy some milk and get sucked into spending way more than you planned this is the Walmart for you. Have a great day.
This is the closest Wal-Mart to me. It is also the Wal-Mart of "Last Resort," meaning that I will patronize this particular Wal-Mart if it is absolutely the only place where I can get what I need, and I need to get it right away. If I could post my review with a 0-star rating, I would. Why is that, you ask? Mainly it's because their "customer service" is the absolute worst of any Wal-Mart I've ever been in. First off, if you buy anything here, be prepared to spend a lot of time checking out. They habitually don't have anywhere close to the number of registers open that they need....and that was the case pre-pandemic as well. Second, the "scan and go" registers often are not a viable alternative. It is the exception, and not the rule that several of the scanners in the "scan and go" areas will not be operating. Not malfunctioning...not receiving a software update...merely closed. Third, they have managed to turn picking up an order into an ordeal. I have attempted to be able to pick up my order in the store, only to be told that "in store pickup" is not an option. Which means that I've got to get "curbside pickup," often for an order consisting or 2 or 3 small items. Also, often times, the phone number to call for pickup kicks you over to voice mail. Which would not be a problem, but the last time I picked up an order, I left my info on the voice mail, and proceeded to sit for 20 minutes waiting for my order to come up. I finally called back in when I saw people who arrived after me getting their orders, and the employee who answered the phone told me I should have called back much sooner, because nobody really pays attention to, or checks the voice mail on the pickup phone line. And finally, their "greeters" are extremely aggressive about demanding to see your receipt as you try to exit the store. The last time I was at this particular store, it was a very frustrating experience. As a result, when the "greeter" asked, "May I see your receipt," I replied, "You have no reason to suspect that I am shoplifting...no you may not." I find their actions extremely insulting. He attempted to prevent me from leaving the store, threatened to have security detain me, and when I kept walking, threatened to take my picture and have me banned from the store. My preferred Wal-Mart stores are the ones in Natrona Heights, Gibsonia and Baden Northern Lights Shopping Center. Natrona Heights is about the same distance as the Pittsburgh Mills store, however Gibsonia and Baden are a lot longer drive for me. However, I will drive the extra miles to avoid the Pittsburgh Mills store. Every time I have to deal with that store, I am reminded why I do not deal with that store.
It's Wal Mart but also the only one in my area. I try to go there early in the am but honestly it doesn't matter what time you go there it's always busy and there never enough registers open. As if the last 2 weeks and I'm assuming this is all wal marts across the country, they want shoppers to use their self check out but on your way out the door your approached by employees who legit act and treat you like you've stole something and personally it's irritating and cringy. If you don't trust shoppers to self checkout hire more people and stop pushing good employees out the door
Super busy for the holidays. Heard a worker say they were over staffed as they sat around doing nothing. But hardly any registers were open. So long lines. And NO CARTS available inside the store. So you're over staffed for the day, standing around, doing nothing, and there's long lines and no carts? Makes complete sense huh?!?
We found everything we needed fairly quickly and the checkout wasn't too busy. The only disappointment was that they didn't have any hot food at the deli when we were there in the early afternoon.
UPDATE 11/13/22: Some aisles were in disarray and some shelves were bare. They were insanely busy today. You'd think that this location was closing permanently and not the Waterworks location with how everything was. If you're looking for something in store, you're better off using the app to find out where it's at, that's IF it's in stock. App says something is in stock but when you get there, it's a different story. An employee stocking the vitamins today 8/16/22 either truly didn't know where something was or they didn't want to be bothered. If customers irk you that much, go on overnight stocking. Then they wonder why everyone shops online.
I went to get a phone case, had an assistant help me get it from a locked case, it was labeled at 10.88. I go to pay and she tells me 50 dollars. When I dispute it and she admits the sign did say 10.88, she directed me to customer service where I waited in line another 10 minutes. I’m then told by them that they can’t do anything about it and direct me back to electronics again. At this point I’m over this and leave. This store does not honor the prices listed like every other Walmart I’ve ever been to. I could see if the item wasn’t behind a locked glass case but come on.
