I recently surprised my partner with a 2 day birthday trip to Inn Walden and wow! We were both completely blown away with the beautiful property, rooms, spa, food both room service and at &the Barn and especially the staff who went above and beyond to make this a special occasion. We stayed in the Equestrian room, beautiful/clean/comfortable, had breakfast delivered in the morning and a cheese plate with wine all included, with a small $6 fee for breakfast delivery to the room each day. We enjoyed a couples private suite in the spa with 2 treatments each, which was incredible!! I read some negative past reviews, which not to invalidate anyone’s experience of course, I’m sorry they had a poor experience, but to point out that we hadn’t experienced these aspects at all: one mentioned issues with temperature control we did not experience this, there was a thermostat in the room and we were very comfortable, another said the rooms were dated the suite we booked appeared to us to be fully updated and not worn at all, it’s lovely, and the food was overpriced at the barn it’s possible that might be the case for that area, however we come from a larger city and felt the plates were very reasonably priced and the quality was fantastic. We will definitely be back!
We had our wedding here and it was absolutely lovely. The newly redesigned space turned out perfect - spacious, bright, and elegant. The food at both the Inn and Barn was delicious, the rooms & service among the very nicest we've ever had. The event coordinator Makenna did a superb job at not only managing the event leading up to the day but ensuring the day itself went smoothly. We could not have asked for a better experience and will be returning to stay at the Inn eventually. Rooms: Not only a quiet, comfortable Inn but the nicest hotel in Ohio. The rooms and service were excellent. Food & drinks: Everything from breakfast to wedding fare was above and beyond. The grilled cheese / tomato soup appetizers were particularly a hit! And the bar allowed for custom drinks which were popular.
Well the latest…… following our amazing experience last time we had Makenna plan our wedding, this was yesterday August 4th 2023. She is amazing she is fairly new to the Inn for event planning however she out did herself. The stay the ceremony the grounds and the Barn Restaurant was awesome. Again we will be returning to enjoy this beautiful place. Perfect for a reset. Staff amazing! The Barn Restaurant superb. We will be staying again in the near future. Highly recommend the spa as well. Andrew and Nicole our massage therapist were top notch. Rooms: Private, quiet
My husband and I spent a night here for our anniversary. I wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was incredible from the room to the service to the spa to the food. We will make this a yearly stay!Rooms: 5/5
Went for Mother's Day, and they started by losing the reservation that had been made two weeks earlier. It took 30mins for an espresso and almost an hour to get pancakes and eggs. Don't waste your time or money here.Location: 4/5
We recently returned from a weeklong stay at Walden and we were absolutely blown away! The property is meticulous and the staff is incredibly attentive and kind. From chocolates in the evening to fresh muffins in the morning, we felt so at home. The rooms are spacious yet cozy with beautiful upgrades. I received a message in their world-class spa and it was definitely one of the best, most relaxing that I’ve ever experienced. A special thanks to Lizzie who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special and unique. She is incredible and the Walden is fortunate to have her. We can’t wait to return again next year!
A little tucked in a small town, an extremely gorgeous Inn. The staff is amazing and the place is beautiful. Horse stables on site and you can see the horses from various places at the Inn. Rooms are amazing and open, very comfy and stunning with lots of natural light. The spa is clean and professional, intimate stalls for pedicures and manicures which is wonderful. Food is delicious as well. I always love coming here to relax.
We have been staying at the Walden for over 10 years. The rooms and the barn are all newly redone and more amazing than when we first stayed there. The staff was amazing and took care of our every need. We had 13 people for my wife's 60th birthday and it could not have gone better. They handled everything from the cake to transportation to a local restaurant. They made this event so easy for me and adjusted to any of our last minute changes or needs with professionalism and a smile. While we have stayed several times, my family after their stay has now declared Inn Walden as their place for more family gatherings and romantic get-aways.
Walden is outstanding! I recently stayed for a 2 night retreat which included 6 spa services and I could not be more satisfied. I had two massages, pedicure, Vichy scrub, body wrap and facial. The therapists and aestheticians were highly skilled and I felt completely relaxed and pampered with each service. I also enjoyed the private steam shower and soaker/whirlpool tub in the private spa suites. I added an additional night to my stay because I was having such an enjoyable time at Walden. The Inn has fewer than 25 suites and outside of the restaurants, I rarely saw other guests.The grounds are beautifully maintained and the whole experience felt serene. I most certainly will return to Walden and am willing to get a part time job to afford more regular visits.
