I feel for you all. Pharmacy work is no joke, and it seems like a busy one. I hope things get more organized for you. Seems chaotic. My experience has been that the staff deal with a lot and know how to hold a hard boundary. As a result, it feels like they have been pretty rude for simple things like asking questions. Not up to speed on automated messages.
This isn't the best Walgreens I've been to. They have strange hours. I'm used to the 24/7 Walgreens locations. And they don’t always seem to know what's going on in the pharmacy. I sometimes have to have them look more closely. Yet it's still better than any other pharmacies in the area.
It really stinks to have to give these guys even one star. I just cannot believe how snippy and rude the pharmacy staff can be. The latest event was a prescription that had been sitting there "in progress" for 2 weeks. I finally decide to go in and pick up other things and ask about it and get a rude response of "we are backed up with more than 650 prescriptions right now and can't get to all of them." There have been other times the app says the prescriptions are ready or will be ready at a certain time and you go to pick them up and get snipped at that they are not ready yet. Hudson isn't the only Walgreen's like this either. Got sick last winter and a physician called in a prescription to the 24-hour pharmacy in Woodbury so I could start taking the med ASAP. Took a few hours to get over to Woodbury and then at the drive-thru window get snipped at by an older lady about how "I'm the only one here and you're lucky I even showed up tonight." She told me to leave and come back up to the drive-thru window in a couple of hours to see if it was ready. They have been given too many chances to get their act together but now it is time to stop going there for anything, not just prescriptions. Good riddance!!!
Can you have negative stars? Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be. Doesn't matter if you call ahead they always, always, say it will be 15 to 20 mins. If not so frustrating it would be laughable. Moving everything to another pharmacy.
Don’t expect to ever talk to anyone on the phone. The automated system hangs up on you after 30 minutes. If you do happen to actually connect with a person they have no idea how to answer simple questions and keep putting you on hold, which ends up with them also hanging up on you. You have to wait a whole week for medication because they’re “out of stock” and don’t care about restocking in a timely manner. Infections and chronic illness go without treatment while you wait and wait and wait. They have a monopoly on the system and there’s no other options for my with my HMO within 40 miles or I have to pay for $40k medication out of pocket. So basically they can be awful and careless and there’s nothing i can do about it.
Update: they helped me fix it and reimbursed me! It's their computer system which I don't think they have control of all the time because they're a large scale cooperation. If you're having problems reach out and I bet they'll help. I was cranky due to being really sick and out of it but am grateful they helped me and my insurance was nice! Said my insurance didn't cover medicine but they didn't run it. I have phenomenea so it's hard to talk and breathe. My insurance was nice but they have been ridiculous. I usually don't go here but it was the only place open still when I was at urgent care.
Went to the drive through for the pharmacy tonight. Was “greeted” by a young women, who I gave my information to and she comes back and ask me if I have insurance which I do, then walks away, she comes back after a couple minutes and asked me again with a tone if I have insurance. And I said I did. She then asked if I had my card on me which I didn’t, but I did on my phone. She then walks away again, without any information on what the issue was and grabs another women. She again “greeted” me. She asked so Rudely if I had insurance which as this point I was frustrated and said yes, what is the issue. And she snarked back at me that she needed proof. I then said I would go home and get it. She said “okay.” No thank you, no apologies, nothing. I pulled over into the parking lot and got the id card on my phone and walked in the store. Was actually greeted by a wonderful women who worked there, she was wonderful. Looked at my id card on my phone and got me my prescription in a timely manner, she also told me to have a good evening. Which is how every customer interaction anywhere should ever end. Those two ladies who came to the window basically shamed me for not having the correct information in there system. They also never catered to the idea someone might not have insurance but is still willing to pay for medication. That is unacceptable to treat anyone that way. Even if I didn’t have insurance I should have been told the price and sold my prescription, you never know how much is in someone’s wallet basis on there looks or if there have insurance or not. I will be switching my pharmacy after years at this location. What a shame.
The worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with in 44 years of living. Nothing ever in stock, rude pharmacists. Phone system never works.
My dr. called in an urgent prescription at 3pm and I called two hours later to check the status. I was told it wouldn’t be filled before they closed at 8pm and there are no guarantees they can fill things within 24 hours. My husband called the next day at 3:30 pm and another tech told him it hadn’t been looked at yet. I’ve never in my life been to a pharmacy that takes 24+ hours to fill a prescription. Never going here again.
Prescriptions are never ready when I arrive to pick up. Process is usually wait in a long line for 15+ minutes, get told that your pickup isn't ready so come back in 15 minutes or after the pharmacy lunch break, return to the pharmacy, wait another 15+ minutes in line, and if you're lucky, you'll be able to pick up what you need. No such luck today, found out they were out of the medicine my physician ordered over a week ago and they still have yet to fill it! The Walgreen's app said my prescription would be ready today, and it was "in processing" status when I went into the pharmacy earlier today. If the pharamacy was out of stock, then why didn't they tell me the first time I was in there? I've picked up from the local Walmart pharmacy a handful of times and the experience there is much better.
