I can see why the drive thru pharmacy wait is so long. Pharmacist was incredibly combative. Tried to deny my wife's insurance because she was 'too old,' ie. Walgreens pulled up her family's own State health plan. We told her no, look up this one, and handed her the card for her own, individual, state health plan. She looks at the card for 5 seconds and says it's the same card nothing we can do etc. - argued with us like this, like it was our fault, even for some reason went on an unhinged rant about how CVS owns Blue Cross Blue Shields or something and that's why Walgreens couldn't pull up BCBS info lol? We've been getting scripts filled at this Walgreens for years? and that we could get her script if we paid out of pocket or drove away and called insurance etc.... until finally, FINALLY she insists she's not eligible for this plan under [family's name] - even though we handed her the right card, under a different surname this pharmacist I thought they were supposed to be good with clerical details, it's life and death in the profession has insisted for 5 minutes that her talking down to us was correct because... she had still pulled up the wrong account, even though we had explained 3 or 4 times to look for another account. She sheepishly disappeared for another 2 minutes, produced the prescription and charged the insured price for it. THEN SHE HAD THE GALL to try and LIE TO US that the reason she was so incompetent was because the 2 policies had the same policy number: THIS IS A STRAIGHT FALSEHOOD. I don't know why Walgreens would hire a Pharmacist who is this bad with details, one who argues down to customers, and then lies to them to cover up her own error, an error which was completely avoidable had she just stopped and not treated us like our heads were on backwards, and we actually knew what we were talking about and what insurance card we had handed her to look up which she swore she had, but she couldn't have possibly. If she can get this wrong, what's she doing with people's pill bottles and dosages? We're not coming here again.
The pharmacy tech had a very poor attitude when I went in for my flu shot. Instead of greeting me and asking what I needed she just looked at me and waited for me to speak first which was uncomfortable and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. When my mom who also works at Walgreens inquired about a promotion at another Walgreens location that Clemson apparently does not have, she was very patronizing and condescending to my mom who was just asking an honest question. It was 7:30 and she directed me to fill out my paper work quickly because they were closing at 8. She talked to us the entire time in a dismissive and disinterested tone. It was uncomfortable and has deterred me from ever wanting to return to that Walgreens location. The pharmacist was initially a bit condescending to my mom as well but turned out to be very friendly and polite and helped me get all the paperwork I needed.
This Walgreens always looks really clean and the shelves are neatly organized. There is also one cashier that even though he has long hair is the nicest guy I think I ever met and always tries to start a positive conversation with every customer. The usual prices are a bit high, but some sales and coupons on the app can make some items cheaper than at the grocery store. They also comply with Section 61-6-4080 of SC state law that requires them to check the purchaser of alcohol’s ID to make sure that they are over 21 unlike what another reviewer believes. All and all, the Clemson Walgreens is pretty good to pick up a few items when they go on sale.
Switched to Walgreen's after a pharmacy tech at the Clemson CVS forgot to give me my driver's license back, didn't tell anyone in the store, lied to me about not taking it, and when I finally found out it was locked in the pharmacy after closing, no one in the store would let me in to get it. So Walgreen's hasn't done that, and what more can a girl ask for? Also, they're very nice at the pharmacy and always give my dog treats.
Made an appointment on line for a flu shot at 8pm. Got there to know that they do not give shots after 8pm. Approached the pharmacist to let them know about the issue and she told us “you should just go somewhere else “.
The manager Levi needs to be fired.
DO NOT GO HERE. Go to the CVS around the corner. If I could give this Walgreens zero stars I would. My fiancé and I went in on Christmas afternoon and tried to buy wine for my fiancé’s mother’s party later today. My boyfriend was purchasing the wine. Sherry at the checkout said that she needed both of our I.D.s. I didn’t have mine because I wasn’t buying anything and I didn’t bring my purse. Besides that, I wasn’t the one buying the wine. I told her this and she said that it was the law. It is NOT the law. I’m 37 years old btw. I said I’d leave then and he would just buy the wine and she said no. My fiance said to keep the wine at the checkout and that we’d be back. We went to CVS and he bought the wine there with no problem. We went back to the house it is very close by, I grabbed by purse, and we went back to the Walgreens. I spoke with the manager and told her what Sherry told us. The manager’s name was Sam she had an unprofessional tattoo on her hand. I asked her if this policy because it is not the law was a local one. She said it was a corporate policy. She also said that if someone was with their 17-year-old son, they would check his I.D. too. Really? That is ridiculous. What if I had a 10-year-old with me? I could have understood the policy if she had said that they check all identifications in a group because of the college nearby to prevent underage drinking; but she didn’t, she just said it was corporate policy. I said that we had already gone to CVS and they lost our business. I wished them a Merry Christmas. DO NOT go to this Walgreens! Go to the CVS around the corner. I’m certainly never giving Walgreens my business again.
Was on hold for literally 20min before I gave up. Just hang up on me and save me the time so I can call elsewhere.
Pharmacy ! Every time I go there they are always wrong and I either have to wait after calling or come back another day! Manager cool and even offered to bring meds to my house but still haven't solved problems with the ones in the pharmacy.:
Lost my wallet there and the manager couldn't have cared less. It was easy enough to see the "i don't care" in his demeanor.
