I love to shop here. Great selection of merchandise to select from. Good pharmacy department. The helpers need to be a little more friendly.
Called to verify my wife's script was ready since our Dr called it in two days ago and was placed on hold for 43 minutes.....no kidding! Finally I drove 5 miles only to be told that the pharmacist was a no show. No apology or call to another store to see or they could accomidate my situation. They had the too bad for you attitude and no excuse as to why they could not inform customers who called the pharmacy to be rerouted. Needless to say I went off and would recommend never using this Walgreens for ANY of your pharmaceutical needs. Or anything else for that matter.
Janine the store manager of number 5017 Punta Gorda refused to return an item that didn’t work within the 30 day grace period as stated on my receipt. I waited in a long line for fifteen minutes no other cashiers available. Then was sent to pharmacy and waited in another line when a walgreens employee assured me that pharmacy is where I needed to be to make the return. Next, I was approached by the same gentleman employee saying Janine the store manager would not return my item. When I spoke with her, she said “I will not return the item, its at managers discretion. I explained that it was broken and I bought another one somewhere else. When I purchased the item on June 1st not even a week ago, I clarified with the cashier working stated a 30 day return policy. I have my receipt and there is absolutely NO reason a long time customer should have to deal with this situation. I have never been treated this way in all the years I have shopped at Walgreens. I prefer to write positive reviews but this has to be stopped. I do not think Janine has the customers best interest in mind and am unsure how she was appointed to a management position.
Worst Walgreens EVER! If I could give zero stars I would!Needed a script for a breathing issue. Didn't tell me that the insurance couldn't be contacted Walgreens computers couldn't connect to my insurance companies computers until hours later and when Walgreens finally did get thru to them... These so-called "professionals" dropped the ball in every way! They sent me text after text saying that my script was ready... Which I already knew and wasn't going to pay out of pocket for...but while I was sitting in the drive thrudays later being spoken to on a speaker no sign of human life anywhere in the store, I got a text saying that there was an issue with insurance. Seriously? This was 3 days after dropping the script off!! Not a call from a pharmacist or technician! I had to drive 30 mins to, once again... Leave without the vital meds I needed! These INCOMPETENT people couldn't even call the doctor since they needed a diagnosis code for my insurance. I don't understand how they are still open! And how these people still have jobs, when they supposedly don't know what their job is or how to do it, NEVERMIND how extremely rude they are to the customers! So now I have to go and do their job for them! Never again will I step foot into this "business" ever again!! I will go back to CVS I stopped going to back up north for the same reasons first! Absolutely horrible! And by the way... I'm 4 days out and still have no meds!! I guess Walgreens thinks that I don't need to breathe! Seeing as this is a script for meds for lungs! Thanks Walgreens!!
Absolutely the WORST RUN PHARMACY BAR NONE! I have a specialized med that has to be irdered and they regularly dont have a pharmacist to dispense even tho i received the text that its ready. NO warning, you just show up to pick up a prescription and theres a sign in the window: no pharmacist on duty. 3rd time in 8 mos !! Just leave patients in the lurch ESPECIALLY ON WEEKENDS
The company "Walgreens" struggles sometimes, but the people at this store are fantastic. I mainly come here for the pharmacy. The pharmacy is always really busy. But the cashiers, technicians, and pharmacists really do put in 110% to take care of you. They realize that this is a medical environment and you're a patient, not just a customer. I specifically want to recognize the Pharmacy Manager, Loodane, who has helped me with medical questions on multiple occasions. She knows her stuff!
I have given this store many chances. From rats to waiting in long lines in and outside for Pharmacy. Just moved all my business to another Walgreens. Really gave you too many chances. Poor poor management.
Placed and paid for a order online that was supposed to be delivered. Then I get texts and email saying to come pick it up and how much it was going to cost. Four out of the last five times this has happened including one time where I ran out of medicine, not good for someone with pulmonary embolisms. After several phone calls, and three days past the delivery date, they "found" my order was still at the store. These people are clowns and its very obvious that they don't care about their customers. UPDATE: Two days later, after I was told they would ship it, I get a text saying not to forget that my prescription was ready for pickup! I called and sure enough they had it down for a pickup, AGAIN!
Stay away from this store. My doctor called in a script and they denied ever receiving this prescription. Then they promised to send a text message if they had a prescription under my name. I never received the then. I tried calling and had to fight with the telephone system just to speak with the pharmacy. It just is not worth the aggravation for a simple task.
