Giving it an extra star because we went on a perfect weather day. Between the views and the breeze, it was lovely. The actual mini golf is alright. Some holes are much more interesting than others. If we didn’t have a slow group in front of us, we could have played the entire 10 holes in 20 minutes without rushing.
This was fun! We did the mini golf in about 30 mins and my kids loved it! Its a unique course with small holes, full of art. Prices are cheap! Parking is easy in, easy out. Plan to walk around the sculpture garden too!
Really fabulous spot to put a fun mini golf installation in, the individual holes were fun and creative. I felt like $22 for me and my child was excessive. It's 10 holes.
Not much of a mini golf experience: 10 holes each that are mostly tiny 10’x10’ and mostly focused on art. Long lines and busy crowds leads to a lot of waiting around
Don't take your mini golf too seriously. I don't like modern art and I hate regular golf but I have nothing but praise for the designers of this course. It is diabolical! It's innovative and fun and full of great design elements.
For a fun group activity, try mini golf at the Walker! Each of the 10 holes has been designed by an artist, so they don't disappoint for creativity. Kids could go, but it feels like it's a little more geared for adults. Beautiful views of downtown Minneapolis and the sculpture garden. The Walker also has their galleries, as well as the Cardamom restaurant.
Idea for mini golfing through art: 5 stars. But, here’s everything that gets zero stars: only one or two holes require strategy or skill. All of the “art” is underwhelming. Why isn’t there green twisting into the air, hanging upside down, creating a truly unique experience? None of the holes are memorable. Think of the mini golf classics - a windmill, a clown, a water feature. Why are there no iconic images from a mini golf made by artists? None of the holes have a place designated to start, which is supposed to be clever, but it just removes the challenge. You’re told the holes can be played in any order, except when you play hole 10 your ball doesn’t come back, so…
This was so fun! It's a really great thing to do on a date or with family/friends. The view of the city is breath-taking from the rooftop as well. 10/10 recommend.
We had a great time. The staff was helpful and informative. Thank you for a great experience
A bit underwhelming and short for the price.
