The Wall Twp. Police Dept's K9 Unit has proudly served their community with honor and distinction since 1981.
The unit is currently comprised of three teams:
Ptl. Ed Lister and K9 Hades have served as a team since 2005,
Ptl. Ian Hatch and K9 Sable have served as a team since 2011.
Ptl. Emmett Idazhl and K9 Daza have served as a team since 2012.
ROLL CALL- here is an entire list of the K9 unit including the officer's name and badge numbers; K9's name and badge number once they start assigning them.
Originally started in 1981 there was a brief suspension in the late 80's, until Steve Powers re-established the unit.
Honorable mention to Ed Moore, Bob Larrison and Dave Zurawski
who were in K9 school in the late 80's when the program was suspended.
