Nothing is ever on the shelves. Completely short-handed all the time. I've overheard management being exceptionally rude to their subordinates. None of the workers are happy. It's like you walk in the doors and it just saps the happiness out of you. Prices are the lowest around but still, the pandemic is over and CEOs realize they can still overcharge for everything and people will buy it out of necessity.
Had a great time with the kids. Airboat ride was fun and we saw several gators and birds. Enjoyed Mike as our Captain and he stopped several times to point out different things and we learned some stuff. If you are visiting Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area I definitely recommend visiting here. Everyone was super nice. Plus what kid doesn’t want to hold a gator.
Don't ever buy plants from their garden department. I lost about half of my container gardens due to the spider mites which came from the plants I purchased. Since I paid cash, I didn't keep my receipt, however, I had all of the "stakes" with prices and care information. When the rude woman from the garden department said there was nothing she could do, I understood, a little still disappointed. Then I went to look at plants, curiosity. They were filled with spider mites under the leaves. Rude employee said she would tell someone when they delivered again. Not a good answer. I wonder how far they have spread.
So once again walmart auto center screwed us on warranty services. When we purchased tires we also bought the road hazard warranty on all of our tires and I took our car in today due to low tire pressure and it turned out I had ran over an object and it damaged the sidewall of the tire. The service desk tech said it would be covered by our road hazard warranty. Awesome right? Not so much, 3 hours later when they actually finished changing the tire [ while there was only one car in the 5 or 6 bays they have] they called me up to the desk and said I owed $126 for the tire!!! It was a 65000 mile tire and it had 20000 miles on it as it was about 18 months old. The original tire that was purchased 18 months earlier was about $ 126 out the door, mounted, balanced and road hazard coverage. After the service clerk continued to tell me that was the correct price we asked to speak to the auto center manager and he gave me the same scam answer, the tire was worn down below half and claimed it needed replaced anyway so they gave us a 46 dollar credit so they were doing us a favor. After that we spoke to a team leader and she seemed understanding about our situation but basically said that was all they could do. We explained that if they were not going to stand behind their warranty they should not be offering it to their customers. She did offer us a $25 gift card to help offset the difference [which was nice of her] BUT, it does not make up for the auto center running a scam on their warranty services. Walmart scammed me out of about a hundred bucks but but they will not be seeing me back as a customer as I will have to take all of my business elsewhere. If you purchase a warranty on a product the company should be standing behind it, not trying to scam over their customers. The auto service desk techs should be ashamed of them selves but as smug as they acted I'm sure I wasn't the first time they have screwed over a customer.
Ridiculous wait time in check out lanes. I waited 20 minutes. And it wasn’t even that busy, the cashiers are just slow! And once I finally got up and all my things checked in, I swiped my card and the old woman kept saying card not allowed. We did this 5 times!!! Finally someone bother worker came up to the register and the lady was pressing the wrong button. Super annoying. Definitely won’t return to this one
Some remodeling going on. But staff was very helpful, finding items that were not in their usual spot. There were lots of cashiers available as well as self check outs.
I was here with my family for dinner. It was a good meal we all left with full bellies and leftovers to warm up. I used to live and work on the the key years ago before I had kids. It was always so much fun to go out for dinner to the near by places to share in the wealth so to speak. If this was my first time coming here I would not come back. It just wasn't a welcoming experience. We were waited on and that was it. If feel that there are so many places to go these days that the staff need to step up to plate and make it a fun night so everyone can't wait until they come back there again. We spent well over $100 for only 3 of us. Not sure if I'll be back or not.
This store is huge! The exercise you get by walking from department to department is a bonus. The Deli and Bakery are very good. The grocery section is larger than many standalone stores and better stocked. I needed a birdbath pump. It was there. So was coke, yard bags and hair color. Walmart... 'America's Store'.
They quit carrying ammo because the case glass is broken. It’s been broken since October 2022. I offered to pay to have it replaced so we could buy ammo local again. I guess NP Walmart went full liberal on us.
The employees are amazing. But I really would like the music to be put back on in the store. It's a little boring not having music playing in the background. Please bring the music back
