When Sam Walton opened the doors to the first Walmart in 1962, his goal was to save people money so they can live better. Sam was a firm believer in listening to what his customers had to say. That tradition continues today. But now, it doesn’t have to end when you leave the store. Through Facebook, we’re able to talk to you, find out what’s on your mind and let you know what we’re up to. It’s just another way we’re working to give the millions of families who shop at Walmart more of what they love—ways to save money and live better.

Older woman who works self checkout is obnoxious. Telling you every time that a register is open, before the person in front of you has collected their items. She needs to calm the f down. People don’t like being rushed or hurried
Some employees are suspiciously racist especially the ones that guard the self checkout. I don't like to admit this and my intent is not to slander but I shop here all the time and they carefully watch folks of color at the self checkout like an eagle. 5 out of 10, I always end up getting my receipt checked and bag. I mean, seriously? Meanwhile, they don't bat an eye for the non-colored. Even those who go to the self checkout lane with a full cart of items and they get the pass to not be checked. I get it, the self-checkout is carefully watched in general. But I like to shop here but I don't like being watched as if I am this petty thief. Thumbs down.
Employees are courteous and willing to help. Most things are well stocked but certain items, in the hardware and in household appliances, need to be restocked. I went back a couple of times within a two week period and still no items.
This Walmart is, probably among the smallest one I have ever visited. However, it was well-maintained and tidy. There were not many customers when I was there, so it was easy to find what I needed. The staff were courteous and helpful.
I have loved these stores since they came out and the pharmacy is very good and the people are very good and kind and nice to visit all the time thanks for your understanding of my life and good times at Wal-Mart Ron!!! ????
This Walmart is a bit quirky. Usually you get to the average Walmart and it is laid out pretty much the same with the same products. This one out of the ones in the area is laid out different and often has different products than the other ones. Went to this one last weekend because I needed a scrub brush and the ones at the Epping, Portsmouth or Seabrook ones were all the same and I hate them. This one had a better set of brands. Really weird but good to know anyway.
One of the nicer looking Walmarts I have visited. Produce section looks good. Electronics section also looks good in selection. Store looks clean. Wifi available. This Walmart has its own gas station. Update: Saturday afternoon, April 2022; Used the curbside pickup and it went smoothly. Friendly service. RedBOX, Service Credit Union, game room, duplicate key machine, pharmacy and garden center available. Shelves looked well stocked. I had a good experience with the associate who was covering Electronics. Very professional! Extra for everything mentioned.
They have NOBODY on cashier…. This is the only Walmart within a 20 miles. They have multiple workers walking around and supervising us at self check out. NO cash registers open…. Took over an hour to get out with 2 items
Guy let us go then like ran after us made a bit of a deal about double checking the receipts for a camping chair. Lol it was on clearance. Not a big deal just think focusin/stopping people with expensive items might be a better use of people's time.? Also not sure but felt like secret shoppers were watching us made me feel awkward. Like isn't the entire store on camera.? Like why is there a guy with 1 item in his cart following people obviously not shopping?
For almost a year now, the closing crew that's assigned at or near the door just never fails to make us feel awkward whenever we come at this location! If we have to get something during the week, the only chance we have is at night around 9 or 10 pm. Since this Walmart closes at 11, we thought it's ok. But we notice that again the staff assigned at self check out or near the door are getting more and more unfriendly. To make it worse, there were few times that they gave us a dumbfounded look of disappointment when we asked help to cancel an item we accidentally scanned. At first we didn't know that only the night supervisor does it! ... ohh-kay ... but really, it's nothing personal right?! Just us needing a little help in the check out area and someone who can do it, who's not obviously confused or irritated. Not to mention that their welcome entourage during the time I mentioned around 2 people usually, but tonight they had 4 or more standing by, Don't greet not even a hi, hello or nod acknowledment of some sort, no smiles just frowns, no eye contact a little eye rolls, yes. I usually don't pull the race card but I really cannot think of anything else other than 1, the fact that I'm Asian and they're not or 2, they're unhappy with their job but can't quit or 3, they have something negative going on in their personal life and they're bringing it to work. Particularly this one older caucasian lady with a short white hair assigned at the door for closing crew, she always gives me the eye roll and never smiled even if I'm the one who smiled first. There's also this one incident when she came to me and my family, talked in a condescending tone to explain something that we weren't asking nor intending to do. I'm not sure if I need to emphasize that yes, I'm Asian but obviously, I understand, speak and write english just fine. I graduated college 2x here in the US and no I'm not a clueless newbie or illegal alien of some sort, not even close to one. And most importantly, I'm still the customer who pays whenever I take anything from the store. A little respect please, do I really have to ask? If this Walmart doesn't welcome customers an hour or 2 before they close, they should've just put a sign on the entrance that says: ATTENTION WALMART SHOPPERS: * If a customer comes an hour or 2 before closing time, don't expect a good customer service near the entrance/exit or self check out. We will make you feel like sh*t if we feel like it, simply because we can and we don't get in trouble even if we do it every night, 7 days a week. * Come at your own risk = if you can tolerate our sh*tty customer service from time to time when you enter, checkout at the self service counter or exit anytime from 9:00 pm to 10:59 pm, good for you, you're the bomb. Otherwise, adjust your time, get out of your way, cancel work or other activities you and your family normally do so you can come 3 hours or more prior to closing. Get what you need as quick as possible preferrably less than 30 mns., be precise and do not make a mistake, check out at the counter not at self service, make sure your reciept is ready just in case one of our crew wants to double check, exit the building, then go your merry way. * Please understand that we want our employees to go home immediately after closing before closing if possible and most of the time and we know that our employees probably just don't want to deal with customers to around these times. So shop wisely and don't make a mistake during checkout. Oragain be ready to recieve an eye roll from one, some or all of our present crew in that department. Thank you for shopping at our Somersworth location during these inconvenient hours!
