Very small nature park overlooking the San Gabriel river and 10 freeway. Great location for pictures and small gatherings. My son loves the obstacle course.
Awesome little nature park in Baldwin Park, located right in the middle of its residential area. It has a small trail walk area, some simple exercise areas, log climbing for kids from 3 to 12 years, and a picnic area. My boys love it very much.
It’s a lovely park that lets you commune with nature with its paved trails, picnic tables, and play areas made of real logs. Great for dog walkers. Exercise stations spread throughout the park. Someone said the restrooms were clean. Uhhh no. The mens restroom was dark, the sink was gross, and it stank! We walked right out. So avoid if possible. There are some pretty ingenious obstacle courses. Unfortunately the play areas are MOSTLY geared towards older kids that have Ninja Warrior type climbing/ balancing skills ages 5+, though younger kids may still like getting introduced to. The one play area for the younger kids… functional but broken. There’s even a real boulder for young rock climbers!
This park in at the end of a cul de sac, very secluded and private. Fun little park for young and old. The park has a 3/4 mile loop track for walking and biking. It has a nice playground area for 2 to 10 year old kids. There picnic table all around the park. Exercise areas all over the park as well. The park sign states that it closes at 4 pm but it is not so. I believe the gate closes at sunset.
Very lovely park hidden in the residentials of Baldwin Park. Has a nice gazebo, play area for the kids, a trail, and even a bridge! There's a pathway that leads around the the park for walkers and or joggers. Down side, no bathroom Playground: All playground equipment looks like it's built out of wood. Dog-friendliness: Yes! Plenty room to bring your dog just pick up after it. Picnic area: Plenty of space for BBQ events and the spots available are fairly decently apart from each other.
Took my 5 year and 1 1/2 year and they had lots of fun exploring around and catching bugs. Aside from the play area for kids. You can reserve the gazebo area. The restroom are clean. For the mens don't have a door to use the toilet, its just open. My kids and wife enjoyed it because its different. Usually just people running or riding bikes.
Calm nature park in a quiet residential cul-de-sac just over the freeway. Many examples of native plants - oak, pine, sage, yucca, yarrow, toyon, coyote bush. Gazebo can be reserved with a grill, picnic tables, exercise equipment, climbing rock, log benches, & various wood features. Good for spotting hummingbirds. Downside: no bike racks, so if you ride you will probably lock to a pole.
More nature spaces like this, please!! Wonderful little park tucked into a culdesac. It’s nice that a place like that is so easily accessible
Absolutely beautiful!! Looks rustic, Forest-like. Cobblestone bathroom with definition of 'wash' and 'basin', etc. very enlightening, and even a fire place which is closed off and haven't found out how to access it or when it is lit, bbq grill, benches, trails around the park and looks like there could be a hiking trail leading out from here, as well as adry river bed, and appears to have indigenous shrubs/trees. And a small obstacle course in the playground area. I could hear some wild, exotic birds in the trees. It's surrounded by an affluent residential area. Very clean, peaceful, but parking lot is tiny. Not much shade yet as the trees seem young. Overall A+. I WILL be returning!!
All though this is one of my favorite parks in Baldwin park, it sucks that the play area for kids hasn’t been fix in almost a year. It’s about less than 10 min Walking distance for me and I love bringing my kids here but I wish they would care more in fixing that issue.
