Had a great experience, they transferred me to another hospital to complete the surgery that I needed done. I always appreciate a place that’s vulnerable and doesn’t have a problem, saying that they need further help. The nurses were attentive and timely, and were always there for every request I had.
I took my husband to the er department because I had an emergency. The admitting person was very nice and the two nurses we extremely nice. My problem was with the ER doctor that night, Dr. Raja, first we were informed that if this were to happen again, I needed to go to a hospital with a specific type of Dr on call. Then we were told we could be sent somewhere else, or we could play the waiting game, he was there til 8. It was our choice. We chose to be sent elsewhere. I overheard him at the nurses station tell the nurses, "we don't need transportation.... she can drive him herself.... when the nurse questioned it...he said she can just drop him off at the door, he can walk In. At the end of the night, Hubby was flown out to shock trauma and had emergency surgery, I would give it a 0 if I could. Nurses were great. I will never use that hospital again. I will make the 45 minute drive to Meritus
Everyone was a joy to work with. Admissions was friendly and efficient. Nurses were kind, and helpful. Doctor was very thorough. The radiologist was very efficient and thoughtful. What a change from hospitals in big cities
Excellent Doctors & Nursing Staff. Put My Hubby At Ease When He Was Worried About His Condition. Which Turned Our Okay.
Every single receptionist, nurse, Dr, and technician I have came in contact with was an absolute pleasure and I feel they all enjoy their jobs and are absolutely great with their patients. I feel absolutely blessed to have found a place close to home that I can come have testing and not leave in tears for being treated less then sub par. Ty ty ty!!!!! I am blessed!!!!!! Ty all!
The doctors fine the nurse lady fine the one who discharges you is rude and she sits in her chair and talks poorly on patients while they can hear her I know so many other peoples medical information because of the nurses talking about Patients v loud
Did nothing told me it was acid when I told them that my heart was bothering me , and they also sent my friend home with oh Pneumonia saying he was fine and he died that night then tried saying it was drug overdose he was 16 and wasn’t into that stuff at all
My family moved to Berkeley Springs 8 months ago. We have had several visits to this hospital for unexpected reasons. The initial staff is polite but the night nurses I have personally had were so rude I wanted to get up and leave. I left with kidney stones and went home with no pain meds because the nurse was so rude I just didn't want to be there anymore. On another occasion I took my son in the middle o the night because he spiked a high fever and was getting sick. The nurse we had was not the same as the first, but was just as rude. I wouldn't recommended going her unless its an emergency and you cant get anywhere else.
We were visiting Berkeley Springs in July and my husband was having problems with his ears. They were stopped up and he was having trouble hearing. No urgent care facilities close se we went to the Emergency Room at 1 Healthy Way. The nursing staff was top notch. I just wish the ED Doctor treated us the same. He seemed like he just wanted to discharge my husband and he could not believe we came to the ED for this problem and we were bothering him. He did not let the nursing staff finish flushing out his ears. So we left with the same problem we came with. Stopped at an Urgent Care in Clarksburg and they did what Valley Hospital could not. Sorry we did not have such a good experience.
This is no way a state of the art hospital when all they ever tell their patients that they need to be sent out to Winchester because they don't have the equipment or whatever there! Second of all more then half the doctors must have gotten their degrees out of a cereal box cause how are you gonna tell a 63 yr old man who can't lift his arm more then 2in that there is nothing wrong with it and sent him home without even any ibuprofen 800 for the pain! This place needs to just be shut down cause it was a waste of taxpayers money to even build!!!
