The staff at Ward Funeral homes are wonderful to work with. Ian was always there for us and always so caring, He was so accomodating with anything we required. I'm happy to recommend Ward Funeral Home.
I used Ward funeral services for my dad earlier this week, without a doubt I had a very pleasant experience from the chapel to the burial. To my director Sienna, thanks for being an awesome human being.
Wards had a very young and gentle front line junior director we worked with and were fairly impressed with. He tried very hard to be helpful. Despite that we have a few mistakes, one was our expectations regarding verifying my father and with the flower order. When the senior management got involved in fixing the issues the treatment became insensitive and unreasonable.
My son and I are very grateful for the kindness received in this funeral home from the first moment we interacted with them. Everybody was caring, and care and compassion were what we needed the most when my son's father died.
I can't express enough how pleased I was with Ward Funeral Home in Brampton. They took care of me and the funeral arrangements for my brother. They were very companionate and professional. They did everything possible as to both mine and my brother's final wishes and took very good care of my brother so that we could have an open casket for him. Funeral Director-Jennifer got us starting with tour and prices and after that William did the rest. They were both amazing to deal with. Along with Janine who took care of helping me fill out all the government forms to cancel all his ID's and even carried my bro's urn to my vehicle for me. Everything was as estimated, no hidden fees or surprises. Myself and both the Janes and Boucher families were pleased and are very thankful for all their help, glad we choose Ward Funeral Home and strongly recommend them to everyone!
I just watched the CBC Marketplace episode on funeral homes. It brought back memories of my experience here when my father passed. My dad pre-paid the basics, and that I do thank him for. When he passed I tried to arrange the service at minimum cost and within the scope of what pre-paid. There were up sells left right and centre, such as "professional pall bearers", "guest books", "cards", a "bible" to name a few. I recall being pressured into having a multi-day viewing and having to argue with the "sales person" that I didn't want it in order to pay for other items that were not pre-paid such as the "pall bearers". After watching the CBC Marketplace episode I remembered opposing the embalming as it was an expensive item. They refused. I vividly remember this as my wife told me to calm down during that "up sell" session as I was really angry by the lack of compassion. Remember that these people are not "Clergy", they are in the business of death to make a profit. I acknowledge that this review is a few years late. This CBC Marketplace episode brought back some sour memories of this place.
Meta Bergwerff funeral service June 23rd: I can not express how upset I am in how our mother and grandmother looked. We as a family were mortified. Our mother looked like a mixture of Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars and the Joker from Batman. I have been to many funerals in my life time and often people do not look like themselves laying in the casket, however, this was traumatizing. We are so disappointed with Ward funeral home.
All the funeral directors and staff behave with the utmost professionalism and sensitivity. It takes a special person to help and to listen to someone who has lost of loved one and everyone at Ward Brampton is that person.
I was very pleased with the service I received on two occasions. All the paperwork required for my father was filled out by Janine and all I had to do was sign. I would highly recommend Ward Funeral Home.
The staff were very kind and helpful
