When I first moved here someone tried to get into my apartment. The police came quickly and I told an an officer I wanted to check my window screen as I live in a basement apartment. Sure enough my screen was pulled out. The officer showed me the screen. They were prompt and so helpful. Another officer came the next day to take down more information. A detective came a day later and said it was an immigrant who couldn't speak English and was looking for help. He said the guy was h armless. So I asked why was he trying to get into my apartment. When he knocked at my door I opened it a Crack and saw he was a burley young man. I could hear steel against steel as he tried to open my window. Despite t his this the Warrington Police Department was extremely helpful. Linda Tryon.
Warrington Finest!!-- Thanks for personally "reminding" drivers speeding on Kansas Rd curve and not stopping at stop sign. . .someone trying to cross with their dog or kids could easily get hit by the blind speeders flying around that curve. . .Thanks for the great work!
I have always had a great response from the Warrington Police Department. I work third shift from 11-7 as a nurse and thankfully the Warrington Police have Driven by the parking lot where I reside Warrington Crossings. I am fortunate if they keep doing this as I am being stalked. And it makes me feel safe knowing they are Always there for the citizens of Bucks County.
I told 4 officers that there is a felon with bench warrants out for his arrest in my apartment, and they did not even question him or run his information. I thought that police officers were legally obligated to do that. I took criminal justice classes in college, and I’m pretty sure that their flat out refusal to investigate that matter is grounds for termination of their positions.
Had to be out all night last night 8/7 at a shopping center to do engineering surveys for reasons that don't matter, I had to survey the site overnight late into the night when even the parking lot lights are typically shut down. These guys and gal came around to check me out and make sure I wasn't nuts or somewhere I wasn't supposed to be to be fair I probably looked ridiculous pushing my little cart and sensors around in circles, I don't blame them haha. They were super professional, respectful, and friendly, I just explained that I was out there for work. They told me they would check back in on me to make sure I was doing good since I was in a half-dark abandoned parking lot all night and they did. Super awesome, super nice guys and gal. I was alright out all night on my own, the area isn't bad, but honestly, it provided me with a little bit of a security blanket getting dropped in on since I was out alone, they probably don't realize how much I appreciated it! Thanks WTPD, you made a very sleepy very overworked engineer feel very welcome and very safe!
They do not stop the people from speeding on 6/11. I was pulling out of the warrington post office onto 6/11. I was in the left lane and needed to get into the right to make a turn at the warrington firehouse where I live. When I was about to get in the left lane I saw a black Mercedes coming behind me going atleast 80mph!!!!!. I immediately turned my signal on to get to the right lane and he was right behind me about to hit me. I beeped my horn for a long time to let him know to slow down and back up. He flew into the left lane around me. I rolled down my window to tell him to slow down but he proceeded going atleast 80 mph past me not even looking. As I pull into freedoms way there is a cop perfectly sitting there facing 6/11 and saw all of this and they did NOTHING!!!!!!!! THEY FLEW BY THE COP GOING 80!!! THE COP DIDNT FLINCH!! I am so disappointed and appalled they allow all this speeding!! THERE ARE CHILDREN!! PLEASE GET THIS UNDER CONTROL! What makes this even worse is this is not the first time I’ve seen someone speeding or running red lights. If you don’t care about ur community and there safety then please leave! They Used to be great cops but now there no where to be found or sitting at village bagel, Sals and warrington pizza. We need to stop the speeding and hard drugs bucks county is becoming a mess. I have lived here for over a decade and it’s sad to see it go this way.
